At the moment, no.
It's extremely standard and hand holding. The combat doesn't really grip me and the crafting has been nerfed to hell. Most of the world design is improved but the style has been flanderized to something cheaper and gaudy. There's just not much I find engaging or even 'fun' right now.
Continual promises of "It will be better next patch" arn't helping. Its been the same excuse sense 1.0's alpha.
For launch yes I am satisfied. I feel there is enough content to keep me playing until PvP hits, then the real fun will begin. For 9.99 a month, I'm getting more than enough entertainment.
So far yes. I haven't run out of content yet, but I'm only level 45. I'm having more fun than I did in XI so that is encouraging. PvP will not make a difference for me, so I am hoping for some type of expansion to the world, I want to explore, see new monsters, more dungeons, new quests.

This is a hard question for me, coming from FFXI. Its really hard for me to transition to a different mind set when playing FFXIV. From having to always research the quests and missions on FFXI before doing them and the extreme sense of danger in allot of areas, better travel system, to FFXIV where everything is mapped out and you can just sprint away from almost anything and warp or teleport anywhere on any job, its taking awhile to adjust. I do think it has potential but I miss the challenge though. By challenge I mean the non instance challenge, like getting from one place to another, going into dangerous areas and having to sneak or invisible and having it wear off at just the wrong moment LOL![]()
I am enjoying myself at a relaxed and paced level of experience. I am in no way, shape or form feeling like I am having to rush myself or log in everyday to keep up. I simply cap my tomes and start leveling another job. This is fun for me and as of now I am aware the game is in its infancy and will grow in development over the years. The day it becomes more difficult to keep up at the pace I am currently at is the day I will step up my game and push harder a la the old days of FFXI.
Yoshi at first, stated he wanted a progressive system that helped made casual players more hardcore and I feel he is following that standard in its current rendition. I will say though, that if the game does not start to enter that phase of a more intensive gaming experience I will likely bow out. I have subscribed to 180 days to see how it turns out and will likely be subbed for the first year or two before making any official statement about the state of the game.

Yes and no. I like how they have improved the responsiveness of the game overall compared to 1.0. They should have left crafting and gathering alone. Gathering is kinda ruined since you have to wait around certain times of day to maybe gather some materials and that takes gil since you need to teleport all over the place. There needs to be the option to party grind mobs and more mobs are needed in the open world. I liked it when you could go into lower level dungeons and not have everything be instanced. Crafters are crafting just for fun because the best gear is given via dungeons. NPC buying prices are a disgrace, there used to be ways to earn some gil by selling to npcs now thats gone. Please fix crafting and gathering and stop giving the best gear through dungeons.
