Can we have the world transfer extended?

I have friends who picked up FFXIV and we all want to play together. Unfortunately, I'm on Hyperion (Legacy) and the times that they were attempting to make new characters, creation was restricted. They made characters on other servers, just to start playing, but because their characters are too new, they can't be transferred and free transfers end tomorrow.

You have to wait before transferring but the free transfer ends. I'm on a Legacy so I can't transfer to theirs. I can't get out because of the transfer restriction, and they can't get in because of time limits.

This is a really crappy situation to be in, as we all have this game that we want to play together but we can't. The only way we can in the future is to pay $25 per person to move once some of these restrictions lift. We will be stuck paying to fix something that came about due to Square's server instabilities and restrictions and that just rubs me wrong. Will there be no other solution?

Since they are new and low level, why not suggest to them to make new characters on your world?

Because they spent all weekend playing for over 20+ hours getting characters to level 15+ and don't really want to do all of the beginning stuff they've done all over again.

you can get to lvl 15 in 2 to 3 hours Ide say start a new player on your world or pay the 20 to move it

I agree, getting to 15 doesn't take that much time, however, there are other people out there who may have spent far more than a few hours, and have much higher level characters who also are in the same situation. Of course Square Enix can't please everyone, but having the extended time, alongside a notice in-game, on their site etc. would mean that they're giving people a chance to make their final selections. I have a friend who is in the similar situation. He's about level 30, now I highly doubt he's going to want to start again, and without the transfer we'll never be able to play together.

I hope they decide to extend it, but either way it's their decision and that's final I guess.

I am currently on Hyperion (Legacy Server) and I want to transfer to Siren where my friends are currently playing on. Apparently right now there is a restriction transferring from a Legacy server to a non-legacy server. Will I be able to transfer anytime in the near future or is this going to be a long time out of being able to do this? Hyperion is very congested server and I always have to wait for que just to get in.

I'm in the same boat as you Arc_Angel. I'm on hyperion and would travel out but there's a restriction on what worlds you can travel out to. There just seems to be a lot of restrictions which makes it really hard to play with your friends. I was actually commenting to someone else who was thinking of playing that the first quest you do is trying to get onto the server you want which could take a few days.
