Cannot progress in Storyline

According to your screenshot your last completed main story quest is Highbridge Times, which comes after Shadow of Darkness. The next quest is Ratting It Out - http://ffxiv.gamerescape.com/wiki/Ratting_It_Out

Thank you very much, that is what i am missing, what i find interesting is i ended up leaving this npc when he had nothing to offer.
