Best Monk Set?

I have a more practical question to ask - i've only recently started running coil and don't expect to be downing turn 5 any time soon. what's the BiS monk set assuming you don't have access to turn5 drops?

From what I read, Melee Circlet, Melee Armor, everything else Allagan.

If you have lot of gils, you can craft some gryphonskins items. If you don't have a lot of mythologic tomes, you could craft the armor.

you can change the solver as you will if you need to for different situations such as using an allagan weapon or the relic+1 or using food buffs or different weights.

Bringing back this thread from oblivion because TC's setup is one of the few i actually agree with.

Im pretty sure we all know by now skillspeed gives the lowest returns coupled with the fact twin snakes will now last longer avoiding skillspeed as much as possible is likely the best.

With that in mind I am intending to get the items TC has in first post, 4 short atmo.

But this whole thread is actually a pretty good read for some monks who are still a little confused over item choice.

In addition to the this, the changes being made to allagan earing of maiming and allagan sollerets of striking in 2.1 make this setup even better.

Keep in mind you might have to dabble to get a skillspeed you feel comfortable with, personally while mine is getting fairly low its not rly giving me any issues, especially when losing greased lightning dosnt happen too often if you know the fights (except for a few rare occasions).

The new best of slot may have changed a little bit due to the changes in the Allagan Earring of Maiming, the Allagan Boots of Striking and the implementation of these:
Tremor Earrings of Striking (Critical Hit Rate +11 Determination +11)
Inferno Bangle of Striking (Accuracy +16 Critical Hit Rate +11)
Vortex Ring of Striking (Accuracy +11 Critical Hit Rate +16)
