Would really like to know which update is causing this. Perhaps that's the reason my load times for zones are terrible (anywhere from 30s to 1min, during login it's 1-3mins) and it's always been like that.
yeah i noticed longer loading zones :/
pure guess but in another game i used to have an issue where the game would 'hang' on load and i would have to tab out and in of the window to 'jump-start' it.
never figured out what caused it, just stopped playing that game, unrelated reasons ofc.

There was an older windows update that the devs actually pointed out once the patch for it was released. It caused cutscenes to have half the screen blacked out. It is in the dev tracker and also lodestone post history.

Hai! I'm Vahl, in ur mmorpgs, sort'n my inventory and putt'n 2 many H's in my name since FFXI..FFXIV Inventory Tetris Champ
Could this be the new "This zone is full" check that SE put in to counter the 1000+ ppl in a single zone?
Remember to act accordingly if you disagree with others opinions.
nah i know its related to windows updates because rolling them back fixed it
Are you using Windows 8.1? I know there have been issues with that, though it's been mainly about mouse lag.
Ever since the last patch I've had performance drops. It would've been fine except I'm on an i73930k @4.5ghz with 32gb ram 7970dcu2t and the game and os installed on an ssd.
I've even froze and had to ctrlaltdel.
If anything's the culprit I'll bet on the patch. My other games are running better than ever.
