    PS yellow light of death

    Fried my ps3 playing the other day. Sony will fix but they have to wipe my hard drive and they're just going to send a refurbished system back anyways. If I get a new system I know I can re-download the game in PSN, but will my character still be there? Or once they wipe my hard drive is it gone? I guess its a question of where or not my character is stored on my system or with square?

    Im pretty sure the character is stored on the server...

    Your character/account is stored on the SE server so it will be intact. But things like macros/UI customization/hotbars are stored locally so that will be deleted.
