Kind of odd how FFXIV is STILL loathe to come out and say chocobos, for some reason. I'll just be glad to have something more than anima and a pair of worn out shoes.

I think they are saying "mount system" and not "chocobos" because they don't want to limit themselves to only chocobos.

There are places where they don't talk about actual implementation but just "examination, "assessment", etc..

For example:

1. Mount System: They say : "Establishment of details for mount system".
2. Job System: "Cost assessment for job system implementation", "Determine the attributes of each job". Same thing here.

So that means they will only plan the mount system and not actually implement it before the end of summer? Same thing for job system?

Under "future tasks" for achievements, it mentions "implementation". I assume that means they will be implemented before the end of summer.

Under "future tasks" for the mount system, it just says "establishment of details", so I assume that means that by the end of summer, they'll have just "established the details".

Exactly there are some places where they clearly say they will "implement" something, and other places where they just say they will "examine", "assess", etc..

But the letter was so long, and put in such a way that you had the impression all of this was going to be implemented.
