Please change online contest entry rules

Please don't make the same mistake that FFXI makes with their forum contests. Many of us have more than 1 paid service accounts on our 1 square enix account to play with family members and with this contest rule: "One entry per person. If multiple entries are posted, only the first one submitted will be accepted." Basically than means if you have family members on the same square enix account, in which each person pays the subscription fee, yet only 1 person in that family can enter the contest. FFXI gets a lot of grief on its forums because of this restriction and for years I've had to step aside and let my wife enter the contests instead of me because only 1 of us can enter, even though we both pay to play the game. I ask of you, please don't exclude me from these contests. Thanks.

Why not just collaborate on a joint entry?

We both want a chance to win, not just one of us. Just asking to be allowed to participate like everyone else is allowed to.

You are allowed to participate. Just once per account which is intended for 1 person (not 1 household, or 1 couple, or whatever).

Then you should have made individual square enix accounts. 1 square enix account is intended for 1 person. This has been covered 100 million times on both the XI and XIV forums. They're not going to change the rules, because it means that individuals with multiple service accounts can enter multiple times and increase their odds of winning. Frankly I don't think it's fair for two people in the same household to both win a prize, but you could have done so if only you followed the rules in creating a square enix account.

The rules should not be changed- they exist for fairness to the majority. Why should you get two chances to win when i only get one just because I haven't been lucky enough to find a significant other?

Thats easy to say but we didnt have that option, before we bought the security token we called playonline (we bought it when it came out in ffxi) and we were ready to get 2 tokens but the employee on the phone said that we could save money by buying only 1 security token since we could put both ffxi accounts under 1 square enix account. I was never told by that employee that if we got 1 SE that from now on one of us would be exluded from their forum based contests. Then when ffxiv 1.0 came out we were gonna make a new square enix account for my wife but in order to get the ingame item called Hermes Shoes, we had to connect our ffxiv account to the same square-enix account that we had our ffxi accounts on.

See what I mean? I did what the SE employee told me to do and ever since then I have been excluded from the online contests for FFXI and now FFXIV. Like I said before, I'm only asking to be allowed to participate like everyone else is allowed to. As for splitting the SE account, 3 times Ive called to get that done and they said they wont do it.
