A little sad that the discussion is relatively quiet... For some reason I was expecting 50 pages of blown up commentary and arguing xD
Good luck to all who entered!

Goodness. Me, too!
I guess not a lot of people read that this thread was up. Maybe towards the end, more people will show up. haha!
Test Post:
Character: Eclaire Spiritbomb
World: Sargatanas
Description: Out of the mist choked forest comes the oddest couple you have ever seen - a sleek stag and his female companion. The maiden giggles at you with a voice that reminds you of the tinkling of silver bells. Suddenly, she vaults on to the back of her beloved friend and in an instant they disappear back into the thick foggy woods like silver ghosts. You are left wondering if perhaps you had only imagined them.
Should you choose to look for them, turn to page 28.
To continue eating those strange mushrooms you found by the riverside, turn to page 99.
If I remember right, Quebec has some weird laws about winning contests and considers these kinds of things to be lottos. I won another contest in another MMO and it had a spot on the paperwork release form that had a math question for Canadians. I wish you guys could participate in this kind of stuff too.
In order for sponsor to skip the "void in Quebec" restriction, Quebec sweepstakes law requires that the sponsors must do some or all of the following things:
- Register the sweepstakes rules and all advertisements used to promote the contest with the Quebec government at least 30 days ahead of the sweepstake's launch.
- Agree to allow the government of Quebec to mediate any lawsuits arising from the contest.
- Follow strict guidelines about the contents of the sweepstakes rules.
- Allow the Quebec government to determine if the sweepstakes may be changed or canceled once it has started.
- File a written report after the contest has concluded, attesting that the prizes have been delivered or attempted to be delivered.
- Agree to follow a number of other rules and guidelines. See the Quebec Sweepstakes Laws.
Hey, has anyone noticed that the front page of the lodestone said that only the top 10 winners will get a prize, but the event rules say the top 100? I think the Lodestone page has a typo, or there is another prize we don't know about yet~
I'm amazed at how many entries blatantly miss the theme. You have to follow the theme to win.
Eh.. missing it, yes. So long as they have fun with it, who cares. They just can't get mad if they don't win since they'll have the rules reposted to them.. [/think] I'm really enjoying all the submissions so far~
Sure, Quebec has some weird restrictions. There are plenty of other places with no such restrictions that have also been excluded simply because they can't be bothered to check what the law would be in the winning entries' countries.
It's hardly a community event when you're excluding people from being able to participate, imo.
Everyone is able to participate, nothing is stopping anyone from dressing up and entering for fun - you just won't get the prize at the end IF you win... But the prize is pretty useless if you think about it, most clothes hide the neck accessory, and as cool as the TGS earrings are, how many people actually wear them?
The event is for fun, and dealing with laws is not... I understand why a major company wouldnt want to deal with any possible risks associated with weird laws...
