I find it highly suspect that you agree the contest was held poorly yet you defend their right to hold contests poorly. You say the items should be prestigious, yet the items were not earned fairly. The contest rules emphasized quite clearly that entries that won were to be the best entries and that there were many ways in which a post could be disqualified. They did not follow their own rules for selection and many people, even winners, were extremely confused by this. If they plan to hold contests in the future for, as you say, prestigious items they should do so fairly or not at all.

We were very content to wait on a response. You are the one who decided to slander others in your defensiveness.

There has been no sign of contentment waiting for a response, only the slander of busy people for not giving a response and no acceptance of the fact that there might be a reason behind the lack of communication at this point in time. And I did say I agreed with the point that some decisions were made poorly, but I acknowledged the other side of the table as well (something I did not see an abundance of while reading this thread).

Furthermore, all who entered the contest agreed with the act of entering that the community team would decide the winners based on overall creativity and execution based on the alloted GUIDELINES (not rules). They have the final say. They owe you nothing, not even a response. And truly, I hope they never reply to the unhappy crowd here.

Yes, yes, we know you won. You don't need to flaunt your defensiveness so heartily. Your reply is the equivalence of me saying, "And I hope they never give out the prizes to you unworthy lot!" And I thought I was salty.

(For others reading this I feel the need to clarify, some of the entries were truly stunning and my real opinion is I hope you receive what you've won soon. Good luck.)

And I don't much care about the necklace, for what it's worth. It'll sit in my inventory, perpetually taking up space (just like a fairly large portion of the event gear to date), and I will likely not be able to place it into storage. It gives me no advantage, I'll end up wearing it once or twice, then it will just sit there and remind me of poor inventory management (a much more important issue than some people unhappy about a community event that holds little weight).

They could give my win to someone else and my viewpoint would be the same; the people complaining here are fools.

Did they give credit to the wrong person?

Was reading through the thread and noticed this, so thought I would quote it to bring it to the top. On the EU haiku thread there was similar confusion with an entry and a moderator said they would look into it.

I don't believe any of the prizes have gone out; I know a few of the winners and they haven't received anything. Maybe SE is debating how to handle some of the comments in this thread but there are other issues such as what AmalahRose posted above; possible wrong image/wrong name getting listed in the NA contest and something about the EU contest as well. It's likely that they need to get all that sorted out before they send out the prizes.
