It was a "fun" community event held by a very small team of members. And why should they address the sore losers? People submitted their entries, they chose the winners, THE END. Why are you people STILL complaining about it? I don't care if they ever send me my necklace, because it was an event held on the premise of being purely fun, and I treated it as such.

You all need to grow up and get your priorities straight, silly children.

Considering that you think we are upset simply by the premise of losing, you don't seem to understand the situation at all. My silence benefits your more than anything else, so I don't blame you for wishing me quiet. I suppose people also shouldn't have complained about turn five bosses getting bugged into submission. I mean, the game is for... "fun" you might say? Allagan weapon? Bah. A trinket. Merely looks different than the relic weapon. Who cares about looks in an MMO? Childish.

Might I ask, what information are you privy to that has revealed the exact number of staff involved in community events? I would love to take a look at it.

(It it helps, I quite liked your entry, but again my stances aren't based on my own subjective opinion of quality.)

Immaturity aside, it is still distasteful that, considering the response, SE chose to ignore the situation entirely.

your comment has given me brain aids... it shows your complete lack of understanding/reading of the actual issues people have brought up over the course of 30 pages.

An overwhelming amount of people are complaining about the lack of a "blue post" acknowledging the dismay of the losers of the event and those that feel that the contest was not executed in the way expected are present in this thread, and not a one of them would appear to have the wisdom to think from the other side of the table. A staff reply before a proper one is ready would hurt the situation more than help it. Expect an eventual reply, or a change in the way community events are held in the future to be their reply, only when the team is ready and has discussed all options and routes, and the people in charge have made the decision of what to do in this "customer service crisis".

As for the amount of rewards, SE has vastly underestimated the amount of North American interest before, why should this be the same? Also, the award was meant to hold some prestige. The number was larger for the European contest because the amount of countries involved is much larger. The lack of EU entries may lie in the fact that you were required to THINK for the EU contest, instead of just take a picture that took a minimal amount of thinking and planning.

So I think I understand the situation just fine, and I think all the ignorant, childish whining should cease while we wait for the community team to either respond, or choose not to. I wouldn't be surprised if they choose not to hold any further events, the way this awful community has responded to something that was, at its core, meant to be FUN and bring people together.
