I'm pretty sure your thread was deleted because there's already a discussion topic about it here. No need to start a new topic to complain when you've already been doing that here.well it looks like they deleted my post on the general forums, guess they didnt like the fact that I was rubbing their nose in their mess, honestly it would be nice to hear why they picked the submissions they did when its pretty obvious the community would have chosen differently.

Congratulations to the winners, as well as all who participated, and a big thank you to SE for providing these contests for the community.

Wow, I'm really shocked to see how upset people are about this, and to go as far as making graphs and stuff comparing the winners... If you really wanted a sure chance at winning the necklace, you should have tried your luck at the haiku contest. They were giving out 300 necklaces there. This necklace is probably going to have like 1 INT on it, and practically 80% of body armor hides the neck piece anyways. It was just for fun, be happy for those that won and move on.
I honestly didn't even know about the Haiku contest til after i submitted for this one. Could you of entered both? o.o;Wow, I'm really shocked to see how upset people are about this, and to go as far as making graphs and stuff comparing the winners... I thought I lost for having posted two pictures, but guess not xD... I must have lost because I used imgur... that might have been it... hmm...

YOU don't decide what's creative. Just because the idea was POPULAR, does not mean it was not creative. Dressing up as Impressio was uncreative. It's a Coatee set and a pumpkin head--bam Impressio...boring. All the entries that stood out to me, won. I don't recall being impressed by any that didn't make it. A few made it that I was not impressed by, but that's me. Would I have chosen the winners different? A few, yes, for the most part, no. There is no scientific or mathematical approach to creativity. It's an opinion.
I entered that egg painting contest too. I worked real hard on it and thought I did real well. I didn't win, and lots I thought were terrible did win...I didn't go and pitch a fit over it, I didn't try to claim the judging was unfair or rigged. The judges judge by their OWN opinion, and apparently my entry did not impress them. Oh well, life moves on. You all need to realize that this is NOT as big a deal as you're making it out to be.
