Actually Winteredsnow's entry came first on page 8. I would have had a hard time deciding between the two personally as they were both amongst my favourites.

Congrats to the winners. I really enjoyed seeing everyones submissions.

I preferred your entry to the one that won, personally. Chronologically yours came first as well, I believe. But that's purely my subjective opinion.

You can't even argue that it was creativity since there were so many repeats. I would prefer them not to hold contests if they're not even going to try. (And I personally thought your first screenshot was better and that you deserved to win for it, but that's my opinion.)

thanks selkie, that does make me feel abit better, but knowing i got screwed out by a drg in af+1 body piece leaning over trying to be a mole (not even color matched) and a handful of other people who just put on their crafting AF doesnt really sit well with me, at least the people on my server , congrats to those of you who won, but dont hate me for it because imho you didnt deserve to.

I feel that way about the GC dopple's, while i felt it would be a great match it was too EASY (not creative) to just buy 4 items and stand next to them. monster are harder to manage and takes more effort (creativity) to get the right timing with the right weather, right time of day/night, right background setting etc....

Secondly, they took people's second submissions (such as with you, and this is not your fault, as it wasn't you who picked your picture. You deserved to win, but they explicitly told us not to this.) Lastly, while I had this problem, I also want to distance my own affiliation with it to make the point; There are obvious submissions with less composition, less value of the elements, and overall just looked WORSE but with the same general concept, who won. On the other hand, there was a lot of this that went on, but the originals actually looked worse. It was a rare case, but the chronological value of the entries was obviously not taken into consideration, especially when a winning entry that looked worse but had the same exact concepts as another entry is still able to win. This is a huge punch in the face to people who took time and creativity into their entries, and then someone could've copied it, and won.

Looking through the entries there were some that made me laugh at the ingenuity. There was one with a guy on his hands and knees and a round shield on their back like an adamantoise, or one where the person realized that their coat and hat had strikingly similar features to an apkallu.

My entry was on page 11, where you had q few winners. It wasn't much but I figured there wouldn't be many people going for the look and it seemed cute.


When I looked back I saw this on the same page, the use of the fairy was a great touch and I knew this one was a winner.

Pre-made NPC armor sets are the antithesis of some of the outstanding entries and seriously don't belong in the same contest.

well it looks like they deleted my post on the general forums, guess they didnt like the fact that I was rubbing their nose in their mess, honestly it would be nice to hear why they picked the submissions they did when its pretty obvious the community would have chosen differently.
