The problem is they stated only the first SS would be taken into account, they even said to use the discussion thread to post rough drafts, the fact that they picked your second picture kind of goes against the rules they created.

They said: "If multiple entries are posted, only the first one submitted will be accepted." I did not submit more than one entry, I did not change who I was doppleganging as. But if you want to be as literal as only the 1st screenshot will be accepted, I'm fine with that too. You guys are really taking this thing way too seriously.

If this is the kind of backlash the community team can expect for every contest, I can assure you guys they'll stop having them all together.

Once again I'm sorry to all those who didn't win; there were a lot of really nice ones, including yours Relentless. And again congrats to all the winners.

Was reading through the thread and noticed this, so thought I would quote it to bring it to the top. On the EU haiku thread there was similar confusion with an entry and a moderator said they would look into it.

This is quotes straight from the page, "One entry per person. If multiple entries are posted, only the first one submitted will be accepted."

I personally read this as, your First screenshot posted to the entry thread is going to be your entry, multiple post's to the entry thread will be disregarded, hence the reason they gave you a thread to post multiple "test" entries. so people could get the "angles" they wanted.

Grats to you for winning, were not upset at you or anyone else who entered, rather the lack of effort on the community team. if there was that much grey area in the rules then examples should have been explained a little better.

I can only hope more contest will exist in the future, i just want them to take their time and put more effort, since the contestants obviously spent their valued time participating.

well this is absolute bs , i had a really nice submission, got alot of likes from the community even, and i know the community didnt go ahead and setup who was the winner, i did have two posts only becuase i messed up the img code and stamped a url on my first post (wish you could edit posts) so in hte end was i disqualified? its frustrating to see people who submitted more then one picture get a win on the 2nd or 3rd picture in a post. obviously this contest wasnt handled fairly

all depends on if they looked at the entries, or drew them from a hat. If it were most people they would see it was a posting mistake (wrong code used) and keep the correct one. (without seeing your post im assuming that if you manually took the URL it would be the same picture as the working one)

so if it was the same picture i wouldn't think it would disqualify you.

But it add's to my point that i made earlier about the rules needing to be a little more "defined" so you wouldn't have to second guess everything the community team does.

I preferred your entry to the one that won, personally. Chronologically yours came first as well, I believe. But that's purely my subjective opinion.

and yes i whole heartily agree these kinds of contests should remain out of the game, especially since they cant judge them fairly. i believe this is why WoW removed the WoW winners tabard from the game in the first place.
