The cactuar earrings are vanity. Purchased for ONE gil and 99% of the population didn't have to do ANYTHING.

And no one forced you to participate in the contest. They presented the prize beforehand.

Once again they said they would announce the winners AROUND the 6th. They can't be late for something they didn't give a definite deadline for. They have other things which are more important, this is just a fun contest, they will post the winners when they have the time.

I'm pretty sure they didn't have to work that hard for the Cactuar and Bomb earrings considering every server won the contest... and contests are meant to be fun. I'm not sure what you are expecting this necklace to be stat-wise but as everyone else pretty much stated it will more than likely be a vanity item like the earrings... it is a brag item...

well the broke part yes the game kinda did because of some in game errors that happen which square has yet to deal with they are "looking into" *sigh* I love this game but losing over half a million gil is a big thing

It's a lot of work to go through ~700 entries and pick 100. I'm sure there's more than 100 good entries, so they'll probably have to do a lot of comparing.

Maybe next time they'll make it easier on themselves and just give out the prize for participation.
