AOE circles and cones not visible

This is a weird one. I've played a THM/WHM up to lvl 43 and just got done Stone Vigil. I had lots of problems dodging Isgebind's AOE attacks. Turns out, after much yelling from my party, that I cannot see the AOE markers (the red circles and blue frosty things). Not only on Isgebind, but on ANY mob in the game. I can see all other effects, just not the AOE circles or cones. Up till now I got through because, as a healer, I didn't notice they weren't there.

Missing: AoE cones, circles and that little red circle with the arrow on mobs(just bosses?) that shows which way they're facing

Any ideas on what can be causing something like this?

Maybe you were randomly picked by SE to test the next patch's hard mode that's gonna be applied to the game.










Jokes aside, I cannot check if it's possible atm, but try looking for any kind of filter available in the settings. Otherwise it might be driver related and can try changing your current version.

It's driver related, there is no option in the game to disable the indicators. Isgebind's flying attacks would be impossible to dodge without luck if those indicators didn't exist.

yea, i agree it's gotta be a driver/hardware issue. i've tried a fresh reinstall and deleted the UI folder in the <My Documents>/<My Games>/FFXIV folder. no difference, besides have to re-set up all my hotbars and gear sets. I'm going to try updating the drivers. it's odd because as far as i can tell from watching HD vids, the ONLY thing i'm not seeing is the AOE markers/cones and the little red thing around enemies that shows which way they're facing.

I have had this happen randomly when an enemy will cast a spell and the red circle would never appear. While group got blased from a Succubus fireball, and no one got a red circle. But this has been a very rare occurrence. Must make end game impossible if you cant see any of them.

sorry it's been a while since i posted this. i fixed the issue.
was definitely a driver issue. id had an old set of Omega drivers sitting on my machine. uninstalling the Omega set and the current drivers and using the new drivers from Nvidia cleared this right up. noob mistake i know
