Especially for Turn 1 and 4, strategies have been employed that the development team hadn't considered (such as only using paladins to live through multiple stacks of a buff the boss has), and a situation has developed where paladins are favored over warrior. We apologize for this. In patch 2.1 we will be making adjustments so that warriors can do the content that paladins can do.

Adjustments to Stun
A warrior’s stun is different than paladin’s in the sense that it can be used at any time separate from the global cooldown, which is an advantage, but for specific content where stuns need to performed multiple times or with precise timing, it’s difficult to utilize warrior’s stun, so we will be making adjustments in patch 2.1 to improve its usability.

We also plan for a variety of other adjustments for warrior in patch 2.1.

to some extent, warriors were fine, they could tank the same content plds could, they just had a harder time doing it. this patch is gonna be (i hope) a great buff to warriors, and im glad i stuck to mine and never went PLD =p

Well my warrior is pretty geared now but i think ill continue playing my BLM until PVP and the buff arrive just for now ^^

Truth be told I hope they keep the buff relatively minor. The hard data has shown that only certain places you really get to notice Warriors lagging behind in usefulness so they'll need to be careful how they buff the class so it doesn't end up as the current flavour of the month.

While the stun adjustment will be nice (the cooldown is a bit too harsh currently) I'm very curious how they're going to adjust so that Warriors can handle the hard hitting content they're talking about in the Live Letter without making us OP.

WARs are fine. Yoshi P never said they weren't. The buffs are a response to the communities strategy of letting PLDs soak up tons of damage that was never intended by the Devs causing an unfavorable climate for WARs that all WAR-fans can attest to. So now the WARs will be able to do the same Strat as the PLDs.

However, those of us WARs who are already used to Bahamuts Coil will now have an easier time than ever. Cheers to all of you!

I could do it in Level 70 gear, now by the time 2.1 rolls around I'll be in Level 90! I fully expect to be favored over PLDs in equal gear. Happy days!

Sup Hiir? Have you MT'd double dreads in turn 4 yet and succeeded? No? Imagine that. If one tank can handle double dreads and the other can't, in what world are you living in that they're equal? Or is your definition of fine being 'almost' as good as a paladin? Yoshi just sat there and did a 180 on his last warrior comments and you are still posting this.
