Questions about SMN / BLM Accuracy (Coil)

I'm working out a BiS spread sheet and I'm trying to accurately judge hit cap (which I believe is around 450~)
and how much of a difference it makes between say, 440 to 450. This plays into which food to use as well.

With all BiS (my set up) you'd be at 427 without food. With apkallu omelet HQ you'd hit

438 accuracy.

I've been in coil on turn 5 for about 2 weeks and in coil as a whole for about 4 weeks.

I haven't noticed any misses with my current accuracy of 447 which is 3 away from the supposed cap, but after I switch and out BiS my gear thats when I get an accuracy drop to 427.

How much accuracy points = how much accuracy %?

As a summoner I have a few miss at 424 and perfect hit rate at 431 so for casters the cap is somewhere between those numbers. Garuda requires more accuracy though as she only has about 90-95% hit rate at 431. The cap is the same throughout all 5 turns of coil.

442 acc is 100% for me, ~99.5% for Garuda. Missed 3 times over 7-8 twintania pulls.

Tested 429 Acc a while back (Turn 1-4)

Missed 2 out of 839 casts

First miss was around 530 casts

Have not missed with 434+ Acc

Will test turn 5 when the party stops whining about how broken it is to even try to attempt it (/disgust)

I am currently with Full DL and with the full myth gear I will get 7 accuracy less than what I have now.
So I will go from 435 to 428.

Kinda stupid for a gear upgrade... Of course the dps stats gained are way better than 7 acc, fortunately.
So I hope 428 is viable in coil, with some cheap foods.

If anyone is struggling a bit for acc and wants a cheaper food then stuffed cabbage may be the one for you.

3% VIT ( max 10)
4% ACC ( max 17)
2% CRIT RATE ( Max 2)

Now here near as good for crit as the apkallu omlette, but has a bigger acc boost and should be significantly cheaper on most servers for when gil is a little short.

Just an FYI that strict hit cap (esp since we only have one ability on cd) is not completely necessary.

Missing sucks, certainly, but it won't kill you to miss, especially on a DoT class where one application is enough, and missing 1 tick isn't the end of the world.

For monks though, and dragoons to an extent, it seems like a must have.

Assuming that the cap is indeed 430 which is what it's sounding to be, 428 is more than enough. You only need to use whatever food will give you at least 2 accuracy. Deviled eggs which is probably the best food for you to use with that gear would put you at 435.

A summoner in what is currently considered BiS will sit at 427 and will probably be required to use stuffed cabbage to reach 444 which is probably enough to get Garuda to 100%.
