Will PS4 have access to the HUD/settings the PC has?

Will PS4 be able to reduce the over all size of the HUD, and more importantly, will I be able to use the hotbars PC has? I cannot stand this Cross Hotbar on my PS3 and it actually limits me in dungeons, due to the confusing controls that have been designed for it.

I ask this question due to the fact that I could probably save up for either a new computer, or a PS4. Not both. Honestly, Final Fantasy XIV being my main game, it's a make-or-break for PS4.

Can't see them letting us use the PC hot bars but the size of all HUD elements can be reduced.

I've shrunken most all HUD elements to smallest size on PS3, think it'd be a given on PS4..

U can resize the UI and window elements by pressing R3 when in the HUD Layout customization.
This is an older HowTo video which I made some elements larger as I was new to MMO's: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wHhaJt4jIhk
After I started Endgame stuff and was more use to an MMO style UI, I switched it up and made almost everything smaller, this can be seen in the newer setup video we made: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gXvz_REqljw

A lot of that info will help you get through higher level, higher populated, endgame stuff... if you haven't optimized yet, you will have frustrating issues later.

Don't see them adding pc hotbar options to PS4, I don't find the crossbar limiting at all once you know your rotations and what bar has what.

I actually think I've read an interview with Yoshi-P where he said that the ps4-version would have both interfaces available (do not have specific source on this though). Not hard to imagine given the ps4's healthy amount of RAM.

Are they not implementing new UI change soon based on out feedback? You might be surprised!

I agree though, I switched to kb/m (which I hate) from controller as I can't stand the crossbar. It's far to limited in organisation and switching between them. With the hotbars I can easily group my rotations and even separate them with an unused action spot to keep thing organised and simple. I'd much prefer if controlpad users had the same hotbar layout and could just move over actions with the Dpad. Holding R1 and pressing a direction or button to switch a crossbar during combat (especially in dungeons) is - and I'm not afraid to say it - too complex for me, especially if I switch to the wrong crossbar.

You have more than enough space on 2 crossbars for all the skills you will need for every job and still have around 8+ slots left over. Go to config and under Hotbar customization uncheck every bar that you aren't currently using for battle, and you can use those extra bars for stuff like mounts/items etc without worrying about cycling to them on accident. You just have to be smart with your skill placement. For example, I have Cure / Cure II in a specific spot on my main bar, and swapping to the 2nd bar has Medica and Medica II in the exact same spot so pretty much pushing R1 in that case is "Turn on AOE".

This is a little bit easier on PC though I will admit. I have a small vertical hotbar i stuck next to my chat log that I stuck the longer-cooldown abilities on so I can see their recast times without being on my 2nd bar. I don't know if the PS3 version can do that.

@OP; that's what macros are for. I manage to fit all 3 of my main war rotation combos (Butcher block, Storm eye and Storm Path) into 4 buttons. Yes Its a little tight and I do agree that the ps UI looks better but don't forget that there is "mousepad" on the controller so it might be a possibility. There was also talk at some point that there would be a cross-intergerated tablet/vita menu as that seems to be the big gimmick for next gen consoles.
