Yes, getting the right group together is how to beat Titan. All the gears need to be in place for the machine to run. That said, DF wins are not impossible by a long shot. It's just the game's most painful example of the law of large numbers. The win can, does and will come.

You'd be surprised by how many of us with relics and +1s still queue up solo in DF just because we knew we can provide the maximum amount of help in that spot of the party.

Titan is not really that hard, he's a pretty well balanced and intense fight, but I don't think anything needs to be done to change him, and I am still struggling to kill him for Relic.

the problem is not the healer, the problem is the group as a whole. She's never going to make it through the fight unless the entire group is competent and right now the DF groups are not it. Like I said, there's certain factors that make this worse than it actually is and those problems show up more on the DF than anywhere else.

At this point I would just recommend buying the run. It's not her that's the problem it's other people.

Which is why I strongly recommend an FC/LS. I've already wasted hours among hours on DF, just hoping to get one titan run done. I wind up with nearly every single attempt failing at the heart, and several more people on Rev's Shout, blaming my gear and inability (which I knew fully well that isn't the case), so they were out of question to request help from as well. Moment I ran with my FC though, it was very easy to do, and we were able to complete it a few times in a row without any failed attempts.

I'm not saying I'm perfect but I've had amazing groups who can't get it further than 8%. People who do the bombs well, line up for plumes. Yet someone always messes up. Tanking Titan is relative cake compared to healing it. Or in fact compared to DPSing it. I've tried DF. I've tried groups for hours. I bring food. I'm a SCH. I use every ability I have. I'm usually the last one standing with the tank. I just think that this fight is just miserable.

As a fellow warrior i feel ya man..Ironically i ahd a paladin jumping for joy when he saw me..The extra DPS LOL..Sadly we cold have done it buuut it was I who had to leave....Time cap crept up on me and an appointment i had...

But yeah i have what i need to do it i can even last a decent amount into P5(where we wiped) with minimal difficulty...But NOBODY want a WAR tank OR DPS....Especially DPS which right now is our best chance to down titan...

titan as fight is poorly designed, wait before attack me, it's drop gear ilevel 70, but this fight is by far harder than any fight out (before coil 4)
the lag impact this fight a lot, why? because 0 error is tolerated. the damage deal by titan are insane, the mechanic is more insane. where is the fun in this? no where.

no random stuff nor interesting mechanic that will save this fight.
is a plain survival battle until p4, dps phase, return to a long and boring survival battle for p5. but the trouble is the length of this survival battle... 10 minutes...where no one in the group is allowed to do mistake. if it was the last bost of the coil why not, but that not the case... him difficulty in comparaison of the ilevel needed is...weird.
indeed we get relic from it, indeed it give us acces to the coil.... but at the 2.1, we will have CT, and i'm sure a looot of people will do CT, get full stuff before get titan killed. this fight need a real rethinking.

give us challenge, yes! but it still need to be fun! it's game after all... if a fight is challenging, but not fun... people will get angry, will avoid it or worst hate it.
i do have a friend healer, she is diligent and work really hard, but each time we fail, she feel is her fault when is not. this fight need to be rethink...fast really really fast!

ohh i already see people in FC that do it in static with player well equiped and the same group say... no is easy and all, l2p.
i have already killed titan... but that don't change the fact that i found this fight not fun and too much punishing.


ps: if the fight after are simplier, then something is wrong there!

I like how the only person to call it easy so far has been the guy in fucking Order of the Blue Garter of all guilds on a goddamn LEGACY server where not only did he not have to go through not having a quality Free Company but he conveniently got to keep all of his high level gear. (To be fair he could totally have had no gear at all and rolled a fresh character on the server, I don't friggin' know.)

My FC, like many, can take it down with 4-5 people no problem, but we overgear the fight and know every single hit by heart. No one carried us with relics, we built our FC from scratch and mastered the fight inch by inch with gear appropriate to the fight. While it only took us about 2 hours to down him the first time once our FC was formed, we all had plenty of prior experience with the fight. It's still a headache, terribly boring and poorly designed. Nothing in Coil (pre-Twintania) is harder. There are things that are mechanically more complex, absolutely, but they're not HARDER. Turn 4 comes close if you have a poor group composition, but at least that's a fun and exciting fight.
