Started to read guides and understand that we need to learn his pattern to have a slight chance of defeating it

    any special suggestions/advice from Scholars?

As a SCH, you want to precast even more than WHM do. That means make sure Succor is on the party BEFORE Tumults, and that you're casting Succor so that it lands AFTER the first stomp in a Tumult. When the tank is going to get Mountain Buster'd, use Adloquium BEFORE he gets hit. Finally, micromanage your fairy. Keybind Embrace and spam it like a madman. Keybind Whispering Dawn (if using Eos) and use it when Tumults begin, or bind the Haste abilities and use them during Heart Phase. Etc.

If you have any other questions, give me a shout. Good luck and have fun!

But if you make her force spam embrace, you cannot control when she will use WD, right?
And any good place to "place" her?

Unfortunately she does seem to decide to stop caring about "Obey" and use her other abilities when you do this. So choosing between the two, I'd spam Embrace.

I usually place her to the side of the tank, like maybe 10 feet? She ends up floating off the ledge after a Geosmash or two, but that's OK what with her having wings and all.

Always remember Goal (a.k.a. jail) in Phase 5 = prepare to heal tank + cast sacred soil for tumult.

You pretty much have to be moving before the AOE hits to avoid it . ( unless you are lucky and have great connection )

Therefore knowing exactly what is going to happen next is the key to beating the boss and any other boss .

I would go so far as saying bards are an advantage over caster dps since they can move and dps at same time with range attacks . Would need one melee for the LB tho.

Extra healer vs dps better to go extra DPS because attempts will be faster , and more attempts is more chance to get better and win .

People spam it until they get through and then don't want to do it again. So many relic holders refuse to redo this.

On Siren, there are a number of shouts for people selling this fight for hundreds of thousands of gil. I appreciate that means there's a group out there who are geared for it and can help others but only if you buy it.

The fight is obviously not impossible but it is absolutely miserable and as so much of this game is done in shout or DF groups, it's ridiculously unforgiving. Tone down phase 5 one notch and it would make it possible for those people who have geared themselves appropriately to get through and others would be more willing to help.
The fight is a group effort, so if you are failing time and time again, look at the group make up and healing output.

If you are wiping at 10% or lower, it boils down to people standing in bad stuff and healers not healing enough on Tumults.

Other than lag, Titan is easy for DPS non-casters. The lag is an issue, but half the time, I see people not paying attention until it's too late. They get the tunnel vision and slip. Happens to the best of us. Being a WAR having to go in as a DPS sucked for the heart phase, but not really. We did not preload limit break because we were more concerned about the tumults catching up to us on the back end. So no limit break on heart and still shattered it. For most of our fails, it was due to being in bad, and no one complained about the lag, because we know when we slipped up. Granted, this wasn't a DF group, but this wasn't a carry group either. Well, it was for me. lol. At least I made up for it in always being able to deal damage, and avoiding bad 95% of the time. Plus, I can take a hit and get back almost 2k without the use of defiance/IB. WoW was good in regards to training you to get out of fire.

TLDR: Tunnel vision bad. Lag worse. You can beat one of these things.

Correction. You see people under lag. The server is not syncing properly that's the point.

You can definitely die and raise in P5 (heck, even the healer itself, as long the other healer is capable) but you have to accept at the right time.

For some reason a lot ppl think accepting raise before a series of stomps or a jump is not a problem.
