Weapons we need to see added.

Along with adding Jobs, we need to see:

Rapiers, especially if they add RDM
Higher rank Daggers, especially if they add THF
Great Swords, for maybe Marauder or Gladiator to use
Scythes, Especially if they add Dark Knight
Battle Staffs
Katana, if they add Samurai/Ninja
Wakizashi, if they add Ninja
Guns, if they add Musketeer.

Yea it would also be cool if they added new classes too to go along with the new weapon types. So if they added greatsword and the soldier to use them, we would see skills specific to the Great Sword added. Same for all others.

They will most likely add a bunch of jobs to the current classes before even thinking of adding new classes. Whatever classes you may have seen on that leaked FFXIV document is scratched for now. Yoshi-p Himself stated that there is currently no plans for new classes.... it will come at a later time.

So no it won't be at all like you mentioned.
