Fates giving me terrible xp?

I have never ever seen anyone getting 50k from a single fate. I have done the quarrymill area a lot, and was getting 13k-15k tops on the Coural King and Gate Defender quests, most of the others were giving about half that if I was in a full party.

With that being said, if you go east of camp drybone, there is a series of fates called the Highbridge Fates. There is a prelude, 1, 2, and 3. If you are in a full party for all 4 of them back to back, you can make close to 100k in about 15 minutes.

Oh yea I forgot to mention something, pick a class to stick with till lvl 50 because you will be getting at least a 50% exp bonus from fates. Im not too sure but I think quests will also give a % increase based on how much lower the current class you are playing as compared to your lvl 50. So if you're playing as a lvl 12 but already have a lvl 50 you'll be getting something ridiculous like say 150%(?), and as your lvl increases the % boost will decrease. So you know that also might be why they were lvling much faster than you, well that and the fact that you said they were 7 lvls higher than you which means they get the full exp from the fate as opposed to you who were most likely not the recommended lvl for the fate so you get a deduction from the fate exp reward.

Um...nobody get's 40k per fate at 22. Who ever says so is full of it.
exp capped boss fate you're looking at 20k or so in Northern Thanalan. 40k easy from DD, the rest give 10k or so...
At level 22? you can forget coming anywhere near those numbers. Again, total load of crap.

I got 47299 xp from that dog with the snake heads in bluefog. That was today as a level 46 blm the thing was at about 60% health when i got there. So yeah you can get 50k from a single fate. Did it as a whm and only cast stone 2 about 4 or 5 time and slept a couple adds the rest of the time I was just raising the dead got 50k exp and an achievement. From the 40s to 50 you shouldn't be getting less than 12k per fate if your there from the start. Svar fate is a 30k reward and you dont have to fight any adds to get that much thats at level 35 when your technically under level for it.. Add in the 3 parts before you get to him and its easily 50k reward. I been in Revants toll since 39 as blm and havent gotten less than 12k exp for any fate include one where I run in and scathe a couple things before it ends. I been under the recommended level for almost every fate I ever done since by the time you get to the proper level your too damn overpower for them. There are times when I have soloed the fates and only gotten bronze or silver. There have been time where i only cast 2 or 3 spells toward the end of a fate and still got full reward or silver. IDK what the hell counts toward your exp total. You can definitely get 40k or more from some fates mostly boss fights.

Defending the Hive and the Coeurlclaw King FATEs both yield somewhere around <YOUR LEVEL * 1k> - <10k> EXP.

So at level 20 you'd be getting about 10k from doing them.
At level 30 about 20k, which seems right from my memory.
And even at 40 the formula'll maintain itself and you'll be getting 30k, but by then you're better off in Northern Thanalan anyway-- although if you're multitasking a lot, you could still level up off Defending the Hive and Coeurlclaw King all the way to 50 by AFKing in town while you do other things and only doing those two FATEs every 30 minutes.

4K at lvl 20 is a lot. Far more than what I expected. So much that we get people complaining because they leveled up to 50 too fast. Even all classes.

The most I've got from lvl 20-25 FATEs in Black Shroud is 15K. The huge Ochu which takes forever to kill, that's it. Once I have been lucky and I've got the full reward just after 20 seconds joining. It's needless to say I went up one level.

Coeurl King and Hive are the biggest exp gainers in South Shroud. I can get about 23K for Hive on WHM. I'm usually using offensive spells, tossing out the occasional Cure, and Raising if I see someone in the dirt. And that's solo. (I find that mixing up offensive and support abilities often gives me the best exp on WHM.) If you catch both Poachers and King back to back you're going to get a lot of exp. But it's still not approaching 40K. There's no one single FATE that gives that much. If I catch all three Svara stages in Coerthas I can get between 40-50K (and that often seems random from the last stage; sometimes I get insanely good exp from Curing and Raising and sometimes I get almost nothing; it appears that if I'm Curing and Raising people who are high on Svara's hate list, then I get better exp, but if it was adds that they're fighting, it really lowers my exp). But that's technically three FATEs, not one.


Since you're talking about level 22 FATEs, your best bet is to hang out in East Shroud until 24. Then head to South Shroud and hang out around Buscaron's tavern. There are plenty of low 20 FATEs that pop there. Once you get to the high 20s you can start doing some of the other FATEs on the east side of the zone.

As a CNJ in South Shroud, I get 22k from the Hive FATES and 21.5k from the killing the King. I Stone 2 and Aero the king, then heal tanks. I don't Rez because it takes a long time and get no xp from it. I get most xp from healing a tank that is at half hp because the heal ALL goes into the tank. No over cure. I also put regen on the tanks that way I get xp over time. In the Hive I do not heal I just Stone 2 the bad guys. Also, don't "finish off" a redbelly. Attack a fresh redbelly spawn that way you get first hit and stay on it until it is down. This way you get the 500 xp for killing it as well. I follow this pattern for all FATEs of like kind even at higher levels in Mor Dhona which I tend to get 25k xp for.

I don't do Svara much as I rarely see her during the FATE. But if I do attempt that FATE, I get about 33k from attacking one of the adds until it is down with Aero and Stone2, then I switch to healing the person tanking Svara. Even though I cannot see her, I can see the tank, so I heal him. I will then rotate through and look for other PCs I can heal. Never over cure.
