    [dev1058] Disagreement with Auto-Attack : Just an opinion~

    I know many wanted auto attack, but I kind of wish you weren't adding it. It seems like were going to loose a lot of interactivity. It was nice to have that feeling of feedback from the fight rather then just hitting engage and letting go. To anyone who argues the skills are enough, I can't say its the same waiting for cool down timers. I was looking up the poll results from the old producer notes, but haven't found them yet. I'm kind of hoping that those who like the more engaged feeling of the current attack system simply didn't do the poll. Would it be possible to work in a choice? Like a looping system that can be disengaged? Something like how the battle regimen is supposed to work. A hot key that can loop either the first action slot of a skill list, or the main attack of the current job. Even if it's like the battle regimen where you would activate it and select which attack you want looped.

    We'll see; if TP is generated more quickly for example, and skills are used more often. Auto attack would be far more interactive, and would remove the need to 1111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111

    one thing for auto attack itll be easier to notice misses and evades and parries for the abilities that need them since your not just spamming the attack button

    I never really had to "spam" the primary attacks. I only periodically hit them based off of timing and stamina. Playing Pug' I never had an issue seeing my "Evades". It popped out enough in red. Seeing "Misses" could be better I guess, but I still didn't have to much issue since I simply didn't do damage if I missed. For me to miss these, I really had to be slacking. I don't see auto-attack affecting "visual attentativeness", but I guess for some it could be a nice plus in regards to reaction time.

    See I never have to spam it that hard. It reminds me of a conversation a friend had with me in game. He was complaining about people who didn't manage their stamina well in parties. The issue he had was that they do keep spamming like that. He didn't like that no one was controlling their standard attacks, letting their stamina develop for other skills. Everyone just kept hitting (1) until their stamina hit zero before they would hit their special skills thus having to wait for stamina to build to it.

    I'm not even going to "care" about BR for a while. The way he made it seem, theres a lot to do and it's going to be a while before it really even gets touched. So when it does get fixed, it'll be a pleasant surprise for me.

    I am fine with auto attack as long as they add plenty of things to keep me busy otherwise, like positioning tactics, stances and lots of tp for WS use.
