    Macroing HQ crafting

I mean, honestly. I can't spend hours to make some HQ Cotton yarns one by one once I reached a level where a script would always make them HQ. And the Quick Synthesis sucks. Not only it gives aways a ridiculous amount of HQ items, it even fails at about a 5% rate! Is there anyway to use macros for it?

    There is.

    /ac "skill name" <me>
    /wait 3
    /ac "skill name" <me>

Rinse and repeat. Simple as that. Take in mind however, that you can't make a macro longer than 15 lines nor can you make the macro start another macro. Higher numbers than 3 can do, I myself going with 4 to make sure it doesn't miss a skill due to lag.

Ok, thanks. But how do I select the gear to craft and the (HQ) items? Do I still need to open the crafting log?

Yes. You have to at least have started the synthesis.

I'll probably sound like a jerk but if you are trying to level up a crafting class without putting the time in by using macros to do ALL your work then you probably shouldn't start a DoH class. Bots would take over the crafting classes if this option was available

I see nothing wrong with using macro to do most of the work. Besides, there is a single negative thing to it. The macro doesn't care about condition and will use whatever skill it's designed to use at the step whether it's poor or excellent. So the chance for HQing each item is smaller than doing it yourself. I took that risk myself.

You should have read the first post. At lvl 30 and above there are plenty of items that can be crafted at HQ closing the eyes. I keep repeating exactly the same pattern to make HQ cotton, velveteen, linen yards or whatever. Actually I repeat the same pattern for all 40 duration item the chances of getting a non HQ product because of a poor step I believe are about 2%

Maybe with the mouse is faster (well, it is), because to select the HQ ingredients with the controller is a PITA. Then what can I tell you, the lag doesn't help at all. That thing can get very frustrating, at least with my crappy connection.

yea.. imho i think the quick synthesis should aloud a high percent of HQ in low recipes (being lvl 30 cul, is a pain to make salt HQ, which is used in most recipes) At least it should be if u r using all mats HQ. But iguess they dont aloud this bc it would make it easier to make HQ recipes at 30+ lvl (though i dont think it is a major factor, making a HQ of a "subrecipe" that ur recipe needs, when u need other 5 ingredients should be ok imho)..
i m just being doing SQ and getting good gear to then make HQ of lvl 30.. IMHO getting basic with quick synthesis and then having good gear and good rotation still make HQ ok, i prefer trying 50 with SQ than doing 30 HQ time taking + 30 of the recipe i actually need..

i do use macro as above for other stuff though.. they work pretty well, and i just need to do a rotation of macro while i watch some show.. or plan my game that day..

Also we must consider that Quick Synthesis (QS) has a "penalty". It gives out only little experience, which is totally fair. They can reduce it even to zero for what I care. But I find it absolutely non sensical that at level 35 I get a 5% of failures doing QS of lvl 10-15 items!

Another thing: is there way when mousing over an item it to show the amount of HQ items? I always have to go to the inventory and check how many HQ items I made for the repeatable levequests.

For the buffs, you can use wait 2 instead of 3 if you don't have lag. For the number of HQ, notice the white number under the HQ column in the recipes. It'll show you how many HQ of that mats you have. Should be to the right of the NQ column.
