and bingo was his name-oMy WHM and My PLD are geared just fine and my DRG is well on it's way to the same level of gearedness. Just because you can't deck out every class in af2 in few months does not mean you can't be optimal on them. There is DL gear which is ilvl 70 and is good enough for almost all content on all jobs. there is Crystal Tower coming which will drop ilvl 80 gear and again will be good for all content currently in game and for all jobs. You can get a relic for each class aswell which all of the above can and will be farmable at the same speed if not faster than doing it on a seperate character.
Hmm, I haven't even decided on a main yet. While I understand the source of frustration I also undertand this is a subscription based MMO and like all other MMOs that you pay to play they have systems in place to slow progression so that you do have to pay to keep playing. I don't see how this is news worthy.
They also purposely slowed progression because we are lacking content that was supposed to be in at ARR release to help in gearing out our classes. If that content was in for release then the myth cap might have been higher. Crystal Tower was supposed to help bridge the gear gap. Now we have all these cry babies that rushed to end game saying Crystal Tower will be useless. It might be useless to those that rushed to end game, but um.... sucks to be you and we knew what 2.1 would come with... yet you still rushed.. if you didn't know then you should have researched otherwise you shouldn't complain because it's all on you. The information has been out there for well over a month.
This seems to be a symptom of a part of endgame that was meant to be in since launch having been postponed. If Myth gear is iLvl 90, and Coil drops iLvl 90, then it would be reasonable to assume that while iLvl 70 might be 'gimping' your party, iLvL80, while 'not as good', would be the low-end starting point for Coil.
If it was possible to run a dungeon that dropped iLvl 80 gear for a chance to acquire said gear as fast as or faster than it takes to grind 300 myth tomes a week, with the end result still being that you can enter CoB, then suddenly it makes sense that there's a weekly cap on myth tomes because running CoB for the same ILvl gear before you even have it would actually be possible, and the tome grind option would need to provide an equivalent wait since you can run dungeons like AK and WP more than once a week.
If I'm not mistaken Crystal Tower is supposed to drop ilvL 80 gear.

Limsa Lominsa keep your pirates, and your ships covered in musty mold.
My loyalty lies with Gridania, with the Moogles and the tree spirits of old." -The Forky Conjurer
OK, So you get what you want you are able to gear out ALL of your jobs however fast you want, and of course your a pro so you do this very quickly. Then What? Grind the "Current" Endgame till next patch? probably not why would you? Just to pay a repair? you have nothing left to do. So they need to Quickly release new content for the 20-40 people that finished in 2 months? and KEEP doing this every two months so you will be happy and the game is "Perfect". Only problem is about 400,000 other players are not you.
I assume crystal tower will have 1 week lock outs as well, also the fact it's 24 players so you're rollin g around 5-11 other players every time loot drops ._.
I don't see crystal tower fixing this problem, AT ALL. I also assume PVP gear will be time-gated and use the same model as mythology tomes so we'll only be able to gear a single class in PVP per X months.

I really hope that none of that is true and I'm wrong, but mythology tome cap and coil lock outs still need addressed!
Just ignore them, lol. They aren't worth our time, they don't understand basic game mechanics.

i missed the part where anyone asked for this
people are asking for more content (extrememly cheap to implement i might add), how is this bad, how does this effect you?

Or you can do like many of us are doing and take your damn time. SE has always done "Release the content with temporarily time locks" in FFXI and most of us knew the same would happen in XIV. After a while it'll probably take maybe a week to get full Tome Gear for one class. But right now while it's new they have time locks to keep you from blowing through the content way too fast.Your problem is you don't WANT to do it again for another job. It's also stated that you can level multiple jobs, not that you can level multiple jobs AT THE SAME TIME. Gearing up another job will take about equally long as it took for you to gear up your first job. You just can't do it at the same time. In the end in weeks, months or years from now, you can indeed have multiple jobs on the same character, all well geared.
I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.
