Nothing I say will matter, so have a picture. You have not once added anything meaningful to any discussion or said anything intelligent in all of your 2086 posts. Baffling, really.

Wrong, it would NOT take just as much time on a single character, explained why here.
Don't bother responding to me, just learn the actual problem and form an opinion knowing all the facts about HUGE issue.
It's cute that you're mad at me though.![]()

Its not a 'huge issue', nor is it a problem.
Just because you want the best shinies for alts and you want it NOW and RIGHT NOW doesn't mean that other players feel the same way.
GL making tons of alt chars though. Guess you'd like farming AK 70 something times a week for your precious shinies for your alts.
By the time I'm done gearing 2 classes in full myth tome/coil gear 2.3 will have released adding a new tier of gear and making me have to grind the same 300 cap myths(if not raised) again, restricting me to playing 1 class and taking 5 months to gear a single one. That means by the time you gear up 1-2 jobs, another content patch releases that makes all current gear not the best and introduces a new tier of gear better than current that's also time gated. Since content patches will be every 3-4 months, and it takes 5 months to gear a single job in full myth tome gear, it means you will NEVER BE ABLE TO GEAR MORE THAN A SINGLE JOB BEFORE THE GEAR IS OUTDATED. It is not a matter of "we don't want to put the time/effort in" it's the fact it's literally impossible because of time-gated gearing. Its not a 'huge issue', nor is it a problem.

My jobs not my main will ALWAYS be a tier of gear behind no matter how much I play because time-gated gearing and weekly raid lock outs do not work in a game that allows you to play all jobs on a single character.
If I make another character for every job I level, I can gear them all up at the same time as my main and play them all in coil every week.
Thus, there is ZERO purpose for the armory system's existence and you're better off making another character for each job you want to play 100% of the time because you get a separate myth cap, a separate coil lock out timer, ~200k gil from quests since all quests + story quests are available again, and don't have to spam boring fates to level.
This game does EVERYTHING in it's power to ENCOURAGE you to play a single job on one character and never level multiple jobs or use the armory system outside of crafting/gathering, this is DOUBLY true at end game.
Don't bother replying to me, learn the situation before you form an opinion on it next time.
Guess what? Nobody cares except people who think like you. I have nearly all 50s, they're fine in AK gear and DL with ltn/primal weps for now. It doesn't matter if they're gonna be a tier or three behind as new content comes out BECAUSE I'M NOT DOING SAID CONTENT WITH THEM. LOUD NOISES.
Let's say you have an FC that does Coil, and requires you to have multiple jobs at 50 because the FC has different people that log on, like back ups and what not, they require this so you can be flexible. You have your main job geared rather well, but your other jobs not so much, you consider those your secondary mains and whatnot. But you under-perform ever so slightly because of your gear or lack thereof. You start to hate the system and wonder why there wasn't a cap per job that fills from gaining the cap with just one. Imagine you did all your AK/WP for the week, you have 300 myth tomes per job you have at 50, and can only buy gear for said job while on said job.
Now you can get gear for your alt jobs instead of taking another 5 months to gear it when it becomes outdated. That's the underlined issue, by the time you attempt to gear that second main it is outdated. The system I mentioned above should be in place. There, saved frustration. It's not a matter of I WANT THIS NOW, it's a matter of I want this before t becomes useless on my second main.
Choose similar classes to level up @ same time. I leveled WHM/BLM together til 40, then BLM to 50. After running AK I had a full set of AK gear for WHM, which I took advantage of once I got that to 50. Month in a half Full DL and relic for BLM and mostly DL and a couple AK pieces for WHM. Not hard at all
THAT makes sense. Doesn't it make sense that you'd be gimping your group if you didn't go with your best job?
What the hell does this have to do with Philosophy tombs cap?Choose similar classes to level up @ same time. I leveled WHM/BLM together til 40, then BLM to 50. Cute though. You thought leveling and dungeon gear is the issue here....

Right now the game is kinda boring, mindless grind of 2 dungeons for Mythology, and another 2 strictly for philosophy (or 4 if you combine both). Too many gated contents, not very flexible options for endgame. Pretty much doing the same crap over and over and the mechanics are getting old fast, run right, run left, hide, kill the adds, rinse and repeat. Most people will gladly skip and do speed run, mainly due to the boring nature of the game. Grinding is fine, but my god, give us some variety. Contents from 1-50 is amazing the first time you go through it, very well done. Then everything falls apart when you try to repeat for second jobs and third jobs, FATE grinding is a nice alternative but right now it is the DE FACTO way to grind since most lower lvls dungeons are dead. Crafting is quite well done, but gathering is beyond mindless robotic (though quite nice and relaxing). If you don't really do endgame, then the game is decent, tons of choices if you do just a little bit of this and that for 2-4 hours a day.
This game is pretty much solid B- with future possibilities and a chance to be good, though we probably won't see varieties until patch 2.4 when it fully blooms. Let's hope people still stay for 12 months. Though the core subscribers will stay no matter what. It's good for casuals with 3-4 hours max a day to play - as long as you don't play everyday more than 8 hours - the current content should be satisfying.

Yeah I feel the same way honestly, OP. I mean I am happy with playing only Summoner...so it doesn't bother me but yeah once I saw how they have us grind gear and with the weekly caps, etc...its kinda hard to gear up and play all the classes. Yeah, you can AK gear some stuff but I don't like that. When I play a class...I gear it to the teeth and play it to the best of my ability. I do not like to half ass anything so this system doesn't really work for me XD
Good thing I mostly only like SMN lol
