Hi,

Since I got FFXIV ARR I have been having issues with the chat log. I got the game on release and I'm a PS3 player. My chat started on the bottom left of my screen as normal. After I did a story quest, maybe about a week in, the chat log moved to the middle of my screen. So I had to move around everything on my HUD to compensate for this issue. About a week or 2 later, after a story quest, my chat log moved itself to the bottom right of my screen. It was annoying but manageable as all I had to do was move around my HUD again. 2 days ago, I signed in to play a bit of FFXIV and have a laugh with my FC. It's good for unwinding after a hard days work. But it was the opposite. This time my chat decided it would screw me over further and enlarge 3 times it's size taking up the whole right side of my screen. The chat itself is taking up 1/3 of my whole screen. I can't see anything on the right side at all. I had to squeeze everything in my HUD to the other 2/3 that was free and shrink them.

The major problem is not being able to see much of anything. It's tough in dungeons and bosses. I am currently on my Relic Quest and I have to take down HM Titan and the chat is causing me problems. I can't see most of my screen. Even though I'm fairly good at dodging most of the AoEs, when Titans Bombs come out, I struggle because I can't see to my right. Yeah it's simple to just turn, but my eyesight isn't too great and it's causing me serious problems finding a safe spot. But that's just Titan as an example. It's causing problems everywhere. It's also making me very disorientated when I play because I can only really see down the middle (with most of the HUD squeezed around the left, top and bottom) and it's giving me serious migraines.

What I really want is an option for moving and shrinking the chat log. Everything else on the HUD can be moved and shrunk. PC players can easily throw around they're chat log around the screen like its nothing. I'd really appreciate an option on the HUD for the chat log too. It would solve all my problems. The way it is now it's messing with my eyes and my head. Also feel like I'm letting my party down every time I take on Titan. It's frustrating.

I'd appreciate a solution for this issue as soon as possible. I really can't play the way things are now and I'd hate to stop playing as i really enjoy the game.
