Since some of the achievements will take a lot longer than getting to lv 50 and getting darklight gear. Some of the achievements gear we get should be item lv 65 or 70. Instead of item level 55.

Definitely agree with this. Granted, most of them are just vanity/prestige items, the Luminary tools are pretty much useless now (way to shoot us in the back, SE), unless we can somehow upgrade them in the future.
That, and I'd also like to see some sort of system where players can earn rewards through reaching certain "milestones" with their achievement point score. For example, reaching 500 points gives you a good chunk of exp, gil, seals, and/or tomestones, while a much higher score could give you something along the lines of your choice of a unique ilvl 90 weapon or armor.
I agree with this thread.
Yeah, I agree with that!
I mean, what are the points actually for anyway?
E-peen and to cash in on people's OCD thus making them play the game longer basically. A couple of titles and items here & there to mask the grinding and give you a false feeling of accomplishment. This all coming from someone who grinds achievementsCan't help it >.>;;;

For example the achiev for doing 3k fates could give a sword or staff or whatever.
Things like that I appreciate.
In my opinion every last rank of achievements should give rewards, like it is for crafting/gathering classes for example.
Level your chocobo to rank 10, get an unique barding with the number 10 instead of GC crest.
Get vanity gear for doing the last FATE achievement.
A vanity weapon for each lvl 50 DoW / DoM classes achievements.
Etc...
It could even be housing items or minions / mounts.
A mini bahamut minion for the "complete Coil 20 times" achievement![]()
Here is a good example complete 10k battlecraft levequests, and all you get is the star. When limited to 6 levequests a day. Even if you join with friends avg 8 people people they all got 100 leves after 2 weeks. Bordem will hit and no good reward for the e-peen on it. Might be that the old ver.1.0 people got credit for it back when the leves were better for group play.
I'd rather they just work on giving us achievements to work toward that are more than just a time sink. I'm trying to think of any that require skill instead of just devoting time to gathering/crafting/farming of some sort and am coming up blank. But then again I just woke up and need more coffee. Fluff rewards are fun but they can't be so good that they become "mandatory" to complete IMO.
I'm an achievement hunter in games and find the ones we have to be boring and disappointing. Where are the achvs for killing titan with 0 deaths, or under x minutes? Beating the coil turns in low ilevel gear? Etc. "Turn in a billion provisions to your GC" is not an achievement, it's a boring time sink requiring zero skill.
I disagree and for good reason everything is already easy to obtain. Why on earth do you want more hand outs? Most of these items you get are already beyond useless, the luminarys for dol and doh should beable to be upgraded for those that wish to go and EARN them.
