I feel we need better rewards for the achievements rewards for gear and stuff.

Since some of the achievements will take a lot longer than getting to lv 50 and getting darklight gear. Some of the achievements gear we get should be item lv 65 or 70. Instead of item level 55.

Definitely agree with this. Granted, most of them are just vanity/prestige items, the Luminary tools are pretty much useless now (way to shoot us in the back, SE), unless we can somehow upgrade them in the future.

That, and I'd also like to see some sort of system where players can earn rewards through reaching certain "milestones" with their achievement point score. For example, reaching 500 points gives you a good chunk of exp, gil, seals, and/or tomestones, while a much higher score could give you something along the lines of your choice of a unique ilvl 90 weapon or armor.

    Yeah, I agree with that!

I mean, what are the points actually for anyway?

    E-peen and to cash in on people's OCD thus making them play the game longer basically. A couple of titles and items here & there to mask the grinding and give you a false feeling of accomplishment. This all coming from someone who grinds achievements Can't help it >.>;;;

In the game I came from achievements gave you titles (such as 'Zakalwe, The Great Saboteur') or emotes (such as 'sword salute') or silly little things or even points for applying to traits (which don't exist here) for customizing your character. I've never understood 'achievements' that don't actually grant you any, well, actual achievement.

I come from DCUO and each feats ( achievements ) had a different value ( 10, 25, 50 and 100 ), each time you were earning 100 points you were earning a skill point.

^This should be... wait no.. HAS to be added in FFXIV.

I currently have 1210 achievement points, it would mean i can add 12 extra skill points on each of my classes.

First it would add a valuable reason to farm achievements other then E-peen and secondly, it would add more uniqueness in character skill customization due to not everyone having the same amount of skill points.

PS: I miss grinding feats with my league in DCUO.

I do prefer that type of achievements, of course. Ones which would give you an actual reward per certain milestones. Doesn't have to be anything that useful. Vanity items are perfectly fine (clothes, furniture, emotes....) and can only hope that SE does this for more ARR achievements.

To be honest, I think skill points as rewards is a horrible idea @_@;;; I have 3270 achievement points and it would put me at a big advantage over people just starting out giving me that much reason to be a jerk if I wanted to (not really but, we all know there's people like that out there). Not to mention, it would kinda force people into grinding the achievements in order to be "the best" (and the eyes of the World roll), and we all know that most achievements everywhere are inherently tedious. Imo, they should be optional. You can grind them, if you're bored like me, or they just "happen" without you paying any real attention, giving you something silly to kinda, sorta, in a way make you feel nice about it. Plus, people high on melding would throw a fit, since the purpose of materia is to lift the attribute numbers up as it is.

For example the achiev for doing 3k fates could give a sword or staff or whatever.
    Things like that I appreciate.

In my opinion every last rank of achievements should give rewards, like it is for crafting/gathering classes for example.

Level your chocobo to rank 10, get an unique barding with the number 10 instead of GC crest.
Get vanity gear for doing the last FATE achievement.
A vanity weapon for each lvl 50 DoW / DoM classes achievements.
    Etc...

It could even be housing items or minions / mounts.
A mini bahamut minion for the "complete Coil 20 times" achievement
