Lich (EU) - getting fuller or emptier ?!

Ive leveled my toon on Lich (EU) , one of the less populated servers compared to others.

Lich(EU) has its advantages over other servers being
-predominantly english. Chats are mostly always english , though a fair share of other languages exist.
-friendly community
-short queue times. Though \\'low population\\' youd see queue windows (short) occasionally indicating a healthy population.
-less lag and almost no server crashes compared to more populated realms.

These and other reasons made me reach a decision that sticking with Lich was the right choice...

However im having second thoughts now.

These forums are eerily quiet, ive seen no news posts of FCs planning to transferring to Lich or even from Lich. When searching for good EU servers no one even mentions lich ( in good or bad) as if it never existed.

Is our population still healthy?

Im on vacation with no access ingame until after the transfer deadline so I cant confirm for myself.

Anyone sticking with lich , joining us or transferring away ? Any updates or advice would be appreciated thnx

We do get a lot of transfers, but alot of ppl leave aswell... and about the forums, i dunno guess no one really cares about them on lich...

I just transfered to Lich, i ended up on a NA server and noone was ever online when i played.

Transferred to this server recently, so hard to say for me if it's fuller or emptier than before. But chats being mostly English? That's something I wouldn't say. It seems like most of the shout chat is anything but English - either French or German.

I find Lich pretty fine, not overcrowded but not empty either and so far I haven't encountered a queue when logging in, I used to be on a NA server and queues for Dungeons/Primals took ages while here its a matter of waiting 20-25 minutes or so.

I must say I agree , now I'm back from vacation. In Ul'dah at least, 60% of shouts are in French.

I tried a number of servers prior to deciding on Lich as I kept getting 'Excellent' connection to JP servers but not to NA/EU. It is quieter than most of those other servers (I occasionally log into them to compare) but there is certainly enough people to get low level dungeons done. That said, when I created my character in September I averaged a queue of 20~ on login, but I haven't had a queue now for a number of weeks.

I would guess this is more to do with the general retention rates after the trial period rather than players leaving this specific server as anecdotally it doesn't appear any less full to me, although I'm not very close to endgame yet , where perhaps it is more noticeable. The last letter from the producer stated average retention after trial is about 35% and even though FFXIV claims to have bettered that, it's still a lot of people leaving. Although it is not unexpected and built into the business model it will still be noticeable to us players I think.
