Current character playable on ps3 version / new key needed?

Will the character I play now on the PC be able to be played on the ps3 version of the game when it comes out? I would like to be able to play on my tv some times and on my computer some times. I hope that the ps3 version doesn't have seperate servers from the pc version. Also since I allready own a key to the game and have login information for the pc version could I just buy a copy of the ps3 game off of someone from ebay that didn't give the game a chance and wasted their key for cheap to use? Then use my current log in information without having to reregister it? I did this with ffxi on the 360.

PS3 and PC users will be able to play together. You will have to have a valid ps3 key to register your ps3 FFXIV version and after that, yes you will be able to use your login on both.

But I will only have to pay for one fee right not pay the montly fee for the ps3 and the pc version...

Possibly. I seem to remember at one point that SE was considering charging like $1 mo fee to allow it, but I don't think that is feasible given the rough start to this game. That would alienate too many people. Also, I could be wrong and thinking of something else entirely, and can't find my source to quote directly. So take it with a grain of salt.

Well I will only buy the ps3 version if i can play my current character on it without having to pay a extra fee, other than the fee for the game itself.
