Controller becoming unresponsive periodically

Please fix this!!!! I'm fed up of my character running away by itself (off ledges and into aoes and aggro) and not being able to complete combos!

I've just started getting a new one while in titan hm last night..trying to press right arrow for one of my jumps..I get the message "your companion cant be summoned" I know goddamnit I am trying to jump!!!!

So fed up and even spent 50 quid on a new ps3 controller thinking that this was the problem....but no. What a waste of money.

Sort it out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even if I'm not playing the game until the issue is fixed, I still plan on being here on the forums trying to figure this out and to get a developer or a community rep to reply to this thread. Even if it's just to say "We are aware of this issue and are currently working on a possible fix."

I'm having this problem with Windows 7. The problem never started until after the 2.1 patch for this game.

Microsoft was having an issue with 8.1 and some games that use a mouse and something about raw input method.. I wonder if it applies to a controller? Apparently a mouse would stutter. not the same thing exactly.. but could be.

I had the issue about a month ago, then disappeared after an update. Then the small update the other day made it return.

Okay, I tried and I just can't keep away. I'm gonna keep trying to fix this, I can't give up yet. Talking to the folks at the Support Center and I urge everyone else to do so as well. Even if they don't fix the problem, there is a chance that, if enough of us contact the Support Center with this issue, that they'll eventually get the hint that this is a serious issue that needs addressing.

Alright, I think I have an honest lead! I can't try it myself yet 'cause I have to pick up a router, but for those with this issue, a support rep gave me this advice:

Check the settings of security functions (such as SPI) for your router.
Also, use a port that can be used for the game.

*For details, please consult with the manufacturer of your router.

2. If your modem/router has a firewall, disable it.
