This game would be better off without gil

With no currency and no ability to trade items

No would would buy carries and there would be no RMT

With no trading and no currency, carries will be sold for real money and there will be absolutely no way to track it, because no record of the gil exchange takes place. Entire account transactions will be untraceable.

Removing gil and trading from the game effectively removes the only viable competitors to RMT vendors, i.e. those who sell carries for ingame gil only. You either have a FC or buddies to help you with stuff, or you gotta buy with real money from RMT vendors now.


RMT vendors will also be selling accounts with the things that people would originally want to buy. Order made accounts.
