Um I can't use holy 15 times in a row, even with shroud. There will be a couple of pauses somewhere and if the mobs aren't down by then, I'll die.

Why nerf because of a dungeon that's being used for farming? Without cleric stance, holy is useless. WP/AK is the only time I've ever switched to cleric stance in a dungeon. Let me do this for coil runs and trying to heal my party. See how that turns out.

And also what about soloing for quests? Are whm not allowed to do that either? Just level your own whm and see how it really is.

BLM full Int, with DL and relic +1: Flare with no astral fire buff = 600 damage and 0 MP left (1100 dmg if AF III)
BLM full Int, with DL and relic +1: Blizzard II with Umbral III ~250 damage, spammable
BLM full Int, with DL and relic +1: Fire II with Astral Fire III ~450 damage, usable 3-4 times

Something is clearly wrong with Holy. I don't think the WHM was designed to be the best AoE dps class in the game.

my bad, cant a BLM regen their MP bar in like 3 seconds? Also the cast times are faster than 4 seconds no? With a 3 sec cast and a 1 sec animation on holy = 4 seconds.....what are BLM cast times? I wont comment on a fight with a duration longer than 30 seconds because we all know the WHM will be OOM while the BLM will infinitely dps.

Not only that but holy DOES have a buff it is called Cleric Stance which changes us from a healer....to...... wait for it......a DPS. Yea it has a fast timer, but I still cant get decent damage from holy and actually heal anyone worth a crap without clicking it off.

in cleric stance my heals are as effective as a BLM casting Cure, actually less effective because a BLM will regen their entire MP bar in like 3 seconds, and I run out. You can cry Bard all you want to, but then you are comparing a team of players working together to a solo player.

Lets nerf BLMs then, their dmg with a Bard using Foe Requiem and Battle Voice is too damn high! It's like numbers and stuff! Like totally OP! Oh and they never run out of mana! NERF NERF NERF!

Well most people are just gunning for an entire set of DL right now and no need for stat discussion there. End game armor is a mix of getting allegan drops and mixing in relic to fill the holes with relic gear. It will be a while before anyone can really start taking benefit of min/maxing here in regards to secondary stats. Crafted gear is the only thing that truly takes advantage of proper stating but 99% of the population does not have the funds to do this so they don't care.

Being able to DPS while healing is more about how geared your tank is more then anything. No one really should need help here.

This topic is new. It is interesting to see a WHM putting out more DPS then a BLK in AoE situations. watching 7 whm and 1 pld spank titan better then cookie cutter pre-made is interesting. You just chose topics that most people don't care about right now or dont really need to be discussed. Just be happy there is 1 15 page threads rather then 15 1 page threads.

Paladins should call for Warrior nerfs because they don't do as much dps.

Because that's totally their intended role.

To the "You must have never run an X SR before" guy:

You're a horrible SCH sir.
With that I don't mean that SCH deals more damage than a WHM, because they don't.
But you're not taking so many thing into consideration.

* While a WHM is using holy, there is no cures being done to your party aside from Regen. - Your fairy can AOE heal, Party buff, and stay out of danger while you do whatever you want.

* A WHM needs to be Melee range to cast Holy and not a mile away like you, therefore they are more in danger. Yes I know you can step in and out for a few skills but you are a lot safer.

* MP cost. A DPS WHM will suffer tremendous MP issues if they go all out. A SCH can go all out and don't have to worry about MP, Ever. (Unless you're just a horrible SCH)

* Global Cooldowns. If a party member gets blasted by something or your tank gets hit for 90% his health by some random shiet You can't instantly heal him with a cure because of GCD+Casting time, therefore he can easily die. You must know your limit. And yes I know there is Benediction, that will heal him but it will most likely cause you to die due to Holy+benediction combo draws insane aggro that no tank can help you out of.

* Fairy, nuff said.
