i am really confused on what gryphonskins i should get, on the one hand i rather the bard af2 chest and the af2 pants for more dex but on the other hand i might need more crits for bloodletter...if someone can shed some light for me on what gryphs i should have i'll be very glad!! thnx

I wouldn't buy any and just use 4 DL armor pieces and Toxotes hands/legs till you can get AF2. If I was to get anything it would be the ring I guess.

yeah but i need to keep my acc high (which the af2 do the opposite) for the coils, but i must also keep my crits as high as it can get....i guess that im asking what should i do to perfect the balance between sex, crits and acc in the most efficient way...

Forget about crit and acc, just go all sex. Can't go wrong with that.

Bard gear already has more accuracy than you need.

What exactly are you losing accuracy on with af2? Our full darklight already gives us about 520 acc(we only need 472 for coil). Weapon, chest, helm, and gloves all give acc and guess what? you can't go wrong with getting any of them because they're bis. With those 4 pieces alone you're literally only like 10 off from the cap you need, so unless you've been randomly getting pieces that are terrible for us you should have no issue with keeping enough acc.

Believe me you will not get any noticeable amount of crit going gryphonskin over af2(you actually get more with af2) to where you'll even notice that you're getting more or less bloodletters. Also contrary to random people in mor dhona spamming you need relic +1 for everything, it is not the best possible thing you can get with myth right away for bards.

And? If we go by dex then lets just say the +1 bow has 10 dex over the regular relic. Now lets compare that to chest and legs, both have +9 dex and the chest has 34 crit(17 more than dl) while the legs have +9 dex and 34 crit/-1 det over dl(lets not forget about the +11 vit on each piece). So you're trying to tell me that the single dex advantage you would get taking +1 wep over either or both or those af2 pieces is worth more than 17-34 crit? Do not bring in the +3 SS or acc either on the wep when by the time you should even be looking at getting the upgrade you should be flooded in accuracy to the point where any extra amount is just wasted stats, and then the SS....not counting that it is worse than wasted acc you will not see any benefit to the bonus over the amount of crit on the other 2 pieces even if by some small chance that 3 SS gets you to that extra .01sec break point.

In the end it honestly matters very little because all the content(baring Twintania which is debatable enough already) is completable in nothing more than darklight. Anything higher than just increases the margin for error and makes things die faster, none of this content needs the +1 weps or even requires everyone to be in half+ af2/alagan. Reason why I took looking like an actual bard again over an extremely minor dmg difference(which isn't there with the pieces I upgraded already being better than the upgrade to +1 wep) because it just does not matter(that and the fact all 3 pieces I have are on the bis list and 2 of them were upgrading from AK pieces).

As I said contrary to what random people in Mor Dhona think, the bard +1 weapon is not the best thing we can spend tomes on right away. Just because some random tells me "lol you noob, why you no get +1 wep first?"(which has happened multiple times now) does not mean i'm going to bend over backward to get myself that upgrade when I have a set path I have planned on going for upgrades and weapon is not the highest on that list. It's extremely bad advice to tell people who don't know any better that going relic +1 is the best(for bard, everything else ya it probably is the best) when there is more than just basic math that shows otherwise.
