    Aye, the FATE system from here is following the same trend as GW2 DE.
    At first, you got a lot of people trying to finish them but as time goes on and with the armory class it's either a Zerg fest or a AOE fest.

    Thing is with dungeons: first the queue times for DPS are abyssmal due to the lack of tanks and healers and buffing the experience of dungeons doesn't seem like an easy solution either.

    Dungeons are in a pretty okay place, at the moment. What's really, really hurting atm are guildhests. Nobody does those more than once, and even that's only for the big gil boost you get from the first run.

    I'm seeing a lot of people say to buff dungeon exp but i don't think that'll help. As a WHM, i would still pick fates over dungeons even if the exp was high in dungeons. My adventure through dungeons as CNJ/WHM have been horrible. And that is the sole reason i still have not finished the story yet. I almost always get a horrible tank which makes the run way more stressful than fun. I thought that maybe it was me. But i don't spam heals, i try and keep the tank around 80%-90% health, and i estimate how fast i need to heal by how fast their health drops. Just tanking 3 enemies @ once drops their health so fast, i barely can keep up with heals enough to sleep the extra enemies. Tanks need to take less damage period. That seems to be the big issue. So much work for the same exp as a DPS seems so unfair.

    They need to do several things to make it more appealing:

    1) Buff dungeon exp, Halatali gives all of 20kish exp w/o any bonuses applied to it. It only takes 25-30 minutes to complete, but I could have easily done 5+ Fates within that time period and gotten 40k+. Maybe get some gear, but it just isn't comparable.
    2) Buff Battle Leve exp. Again, at level 30ish, a battle leve gives about 4.5k. A fate will take the same time, maybe even less, and give more than double that.
    3) Allow guildhests to have bonuses be repeated WEEKLY. Have it reset at the same time as the myth cap does, even. There is no appeal to do them more than once as they stand.
    4) Allow chocobo's to be used in battle leves AND while in a queue. It's ridiculous that they can only be used while doing a FATE or soloing random mobs. =/

    It pisses me off so much I pretty much stopped playing. I hate people just running around doing FATEs. It takes forever and a half to get into a dungeon and when you do want to do fates they're done in about 15 secs by stupid fate groups teleporting all over the zone.


    Fixes:

    Lower FATE exp
    Raise Dungeon exp
    Add a timer for party teleports and put it at 1 min. If you haven't gotten to a good enough place to teleport in a freaking minute then you can get your own ass there.

    dungeon completion reward should definitely be a huge amount of exp, otherwise dungeons will be a ghost town very soon if they aren't already. Currently a go once and then you're done kinda thing.

    Why is the harder content rewarded with the minimal xp/gil. Why dont dungeons completions give us any seals? Why is always the easiest path to victory the most rewarding?? MMo's have it soooo wrong these days.

    Same scenario. Why is the paladin a much easier job to tank with then the warrior. It takes a little skill to play a warrior right, yet the warrior is the inferior tank in the end????
    Why is all the easy stuff the most profitable??????

    I'll defend FATEs, they are interesting as a concept, but they need to lower the number of FATEs that spawn and increase their cool down. They are not Random encounters that will give you that feeling of a living and breathing world as they stand now. They are just a bunch of random tasks that will show on your map all the time. lol It's just stupid. I like the idea of random events that will make a small difference in the world. Like a route that is blocked by enemies and you need to defeat them to open up that route or vendor NPCs that are kidnapped and you need to rescue them.
    I'm not talking about a 15 min cool down. I'm talking about 5 hours~10 hours cool down and I'm talking about routes that WILL make a difference, like in GW2 where there is a Bridge and there is an event to defend that bridge, if that event fails, the bridge is destroyed and the players will need to walk A LOT to get to the location that through the bridge wouldn't take as long.

    ...Anyways. I agree with OP. I wish DPSs had another viable leveling option. Leves should give a lot more Experience due to the fact that you can only do leves a limited number of times per day.

    Stupid character limit.
