You can always go to a less crowded place.
Just avoid the Aleport > Quarrymil > Costa del Sol > Coerthas > Ceruleum Processing Plant route.

I don't think dungeons need a buff.
I was able to level these classes under 2 months at a casual pace, being almost exclusively running dungeons and very little fates. I only do fates when I only have a short amount of time to play and can't commit to 30/60minutes of play.
I think it's a community problem really of wanting to be highest level as fast as possible.

I don't know if what you say is true. Hear me out real quick... Today I did the level 41 instance on my warrior and it took ~35 minutes to complete it. It was one persons first time doing that dungeon so at the end I got an extra 11k xp. When all was said and done, I got 84k experience. I need a total of about 430k experience, so that means I would have to run the instance ~5 times, so 5x35 = 175 mins, or almost 3 hours.I don't think dungeons need a buff.

Now, I like to run dungeons because I find them fun and I've done quite a few since I hit level 21 or so. The trend I've noticed is that when you go into an instance without full rested xp, you tend to get ~20-30% of your level in one of them and they all tend to take between 30-50 mins depending on the dungeon and type of people you get in the dungeon finder.
My point is, either you spend a huge amount of time playing this game to get all those classes to 41 via dungeon finder or you do a lot of fates. The point others are making is why run a dungeon to get 20% of your level in 30-45 mins when in that same time you can join a fate group and get 40-50% of your level along with tons of GC seals.
buff dungeon exp
problem solved, no debate.
meh to be honest I wish they would just add more quests from lvl 47 - 49, most Asian mmos love grind fests.Like the title says.
Let me make 1 thing clear - I'm NOT against FATE, I just feel that Dungeons really need to be buffed. I'm talking increased EXP per kill, increased spirit bond rates and maybe a gil/GC seal reward at the end for speedy completion. Again, I've no problem with FATE being a viable option, my beef is that it's currently the *only* option and quite frankly I'd rather go back to monster grinding in 1.0 over the current system because at least in 1.0 you had to actually pay attention and learn how to play. As it stands, FATE is simply far too mindless, boring, and repetitive.
As horrible as the grinds in FFXI or 1.0 were, they were still better (in terms of the experience of playing the game, not EXP rates) than this. I miss that sense of community that partying instilled back then.
:/
Happy to heal you
I definitely agree OP. Dungeons need a severe buff to exp gained while leveling. Personally, I can't stand farming FATE's. Yes, I'll definitely do them if I am in the area but, running back and forth spamming them is no fun
Also, Battle leves do need a buff as well. If I start a leve and a FATE pops, I'm better off dropping the leve and running off to do the FATE. I'd also like to see guild leves give a lot more exp after you have done it the first time.
For me leveling is generally slow because I prefer to run dungeons with people to gain exp and nice gear. Between dungeons my only option is FATE's which isn't too bad because I can get a few done before the dungeon pops. Slow but, I enjoy it more. The problem is that I'm better off not even stepping into the dungeon which makes me sad![]()
a Quick fix would be have the fates scale from difficulty. So more people there, harder to kill so i can get more then an Aero on each mob. One person there, it will be killable. Im at bluefrog at the moment, and i hate it. I run with the pack of 200 plus and i am lucky to get silver at each fate. Yes, im in a grp.
Id be happy if each time you changed your job the same quest would appear. i was an idiot, my first time leveling i did all the quest. I was shocked to see that once you did them. You did them..
Or having a leve hunting log be chill to, it would cost 5 leve points, and you would get a special hunting log tuned to your level.

No, if you remove the FATE from the game, then everyone levels the old fashioned way. I'm doing it the old fashioned way myself, why the heck would anyone FATE spam their way to 50? If you plan on playing the game for any length of time, avoid FATE and play normally, the only people this is a problem for are the folks rushing and the folks worried about keeping up with the Joneses.
Um, hold on, at level 48 you are nearly at the pinnacle of what a character can achieve level wise, so isn't it natural that it should take longer? Zerging FATEs is kinda pointless regardless, and since you can run Leves with others (linked leves) and it's an MMORPG, you could always fall back on....being social - while you grind out your levels.
Nah, I think we should have Dungeons give better EXP.
Also give seals or have some seals drop.
You know, people do not do the older dungeons only a few times?
FATE's a free for all with no Que times and have to wait over an hour and crap to do it.
What can be done in a little bit, takes forever via dungeon. The wait is killer at that.
