    It's absurd for DPS that there is no practical way to level solo. Dungeon queues are too long, hunting log doesn't give near enough xp to amount to much of any gains, and leves give really poor xp and you can only do a few of the each day if you have not saved up leves (which most people leveling crafting/gathering as well definitely aren't).

    Your only real options are to find groups and spam fates, all day, for hours on end, or two find a group and grind mobs all day, for hours on end.
    Casuals demanded fates, and that's how you level solo, the entire leveling process in this game is solo, quest/FATE is all solo, you be "online" to play by yourself all you want now, congratulations.

    No, if you remove the FATE from the game, then everyone levels the old fashioned way. I'm doing it the old fashioned way myself, why the heck would anyone FATE spam their way to 50? If you plan on playing the game for any length of time, avoid FATE and play normally, the only people this is a problem for are the folks rushing and the folks worried about keeping up with the Joneses.

    Ive turned somewhat casual. you have no idea what i / we want.
    I used to be a hardcore raider. I DONT WANT TO DO FATES , EVER...

    Why is the harder content rewarded with the minimal xp/gil. Why dont dungeons completions give us any seals? Why is always the easiest path to victory the most rewarding?? MMo's have it soooo wrong these days.

    Same scenario. Why is the paladin a much easier job to tank with then the warrior. It takes a little skill to play a warrior right, yet the warrior is the inferior tank in the end????
    Why is all the easy stuff the most profitable??????

    Most people prefer to level entirely off quests. Btw, what makes someone who levels in groups more "hardcore" than someone who levels from quests? Another person who doesn't know the difference between casual/hardcore. If someone is capable of beating said dungeon once. Then they beat said dungeon twice. There's a good chance they can beat said dungeon a third time. Hardcore implies that something is hard. Doing the same task you've already proven capable of doing over and over isn't hardcore. It's tedious.

    Sorry but hardcore has nothing to do with hard content.

    Hardcore is a mindset. You can be hardcore with content that has no challange or you can be hardcore slamming your head against twintania in this game.

    Someone playing 30mins a day who can beat twintania in ARR is not hardcore, they are a good player.

    Hardcore =/= hard content.

    Just like Casual =/= crappy player and hardcore =/= good player. I seen good casuals and horrible hardcores in my 13yrs of playing mmos.

    Hardcore =/= hard content.

    Perhaps 'Traditionalist' is the proper term. I consider myself a traditionalist because I would rather gain levels in a traditional manner ( groups that require role responsibility).

    FATEs have somewhat become an accepted power leveling tactic. That, IMO, needs to be changed.

    Actually that was kind of my point though badly worded. The way he is speaking of casuals makes it seem like casuals are a bad thing. That bad design features is because of casuals. I don't re-call any casuals jumping up and down screaming for fates. Just for things to be done in a timely fashion whether it be from doing dungeons, leveling, or fates. Most casuals aren't asking for a specific thing to be the only way. He worded it as if the game was designed entirely for the hardcore it would have come out better. He implied that casuals just want to solo. Which also implies grouping is "too hard" for a casual. This isn't true.
