Maybe you don't have the ability to put yourself in the developers' shoes. Can you imagine trying to overhaul a combat system, while having the community naggering away in your ear with all sorts of redundant-ish suggestions that they didn't ask for?
My point is this: If they aren't asking us for suggestions, don't give them suggestions that are pointless, redundant and a waste of oxygen.
Here are the jobs that are OBVIOUSLY going to come to the game: Fencer, Musketeer, Mystic (Summoner?), Arcanist (Bard?), Samurai, and Dragoon. Those are the combat jobs that are clearly going to be planned for the game at some point in the future. It's collaborated by DAT leaks and pre-existing NPCs (there are NPCs called Dragoons around the game, and they are Ishgardian in origin).
So that said, just save us the headaches and just not clutter up the forums with job suggestions. Just because Matsui announced that there will be a job system, doesn't mean he has no ideas on what jobs to implement. He already has a plan, and it's pretty much well along in development - if we're going to be making suggestions, make them with the mental note that they will NOT be implemented in this dev cycle unless it's already been planned by the dev team.
That is to say, Matsui has already decided on what jobs will be implemented in this first dev cycle. Any new suggestions will be ignored. The only chance a viable suggestion would get implemented, would be in the form of an expansion. So if you're going to make a suggestion, make it with the exception that you will never see it implemented for at least a year.
This will help prevent unnecessarily raised expectations that will lead to a massive disappointment when the new jobs are announced. Seriously, you people are like 13-year olds...
