    I have a few I'd like to suggest as well as general ideas to go with them:

    I would really love to see Dancer come back, and I even have a suggestion that it could branch off Pugilist. It's a little bit of a logic leap, but I think Pugilist is the closest base we have to make a Dancer connection. It could be their support role. Or prehaps Gladiator's support role since they have daggers already.

    I would also like to see Dragoon return, but chances are very high that this is already one of the jobs they have in mind given the limited options for Lancer.

    I would also like to see Dark Knight, however I'd rather they come in as a class instead of a job because a Dark Knight without a Scythe is a sad Dark Knight.

    Like the BRD, the DNC or the PUP, the Painter is a disciple of the “Show”

    - Finaly, a lot of actions would use TP and some of theme MP too.

    This painter is a melting of the RDM & the BRD,
    And he would be played like the DNC.
    He is fighting at a long range of battles to support allies, enfeeble the ennemy.
    He need to up his DEX to paint faster, and a lot of MND to enhance his painting effects & duration.


    Skills list:


    Actions :
    - Beam pencil : Creates an elemental beam by drawing
    - Target of shooting : Enhances allies accuracy by painting a target on the ennemy
    - War's painting: Enhance STR & DEX of allies
    - Shaman's Marks: Enhance INT and PIE of allies
    - Blue sky (I,II,III,IV) : Recovers Allies HP
    - Moutains painting (I,II): Enhances allies physical defense
    - Ocean's painting (I,II): Enhances allies magical defense
    - Stripes : Causes paralyze by painting the ennemy with stripes on a sheet of paper
    - Colors seals : Enhances allies resistances against an element
    - Copy : Allow to use an ennemy’s skill
    - Hypnosis’ spiral : Sleeping the ennemy by painting a spiral

    - Portrait : Enhances jobs potency
    - Elementals symbols : Adds elementals damages by painting symbols on a weapon
    - Gum : Cancels a bonus on an ennemy
    - Solvant : Heals status effect of allies
    - Chocobos painting : Adds haste to allies
    - Rising sun : Gives day effect to party
    - Sleeping (?) sun : Gives night effect to party
    - Inspiration: Gives TP to the Painter

    Support :
    - Oil painting : Enhances paintings effetcs
    - Multiples layers : Enhances the number of painting effects an ally can cumulate
    - Painting steams : Causes a poison effect on the ennemy if he has a painting debuff on him.
    - Exposure : The bigger the party is better are the paintings effects
    - Private exposure: transforms AoE to single target.

    TP :
    - Red area : Fire damages and accuracy dowwn for ennemies, attack bonus for allies.
    - Blue area : Water damages to ennemies reduces their TP gains, magic attack bonus for allies
    - White area:Light damages and evasion down for ennemies, Regen for allies
    - Black area : refresh for allies, dark damages & magic defense down for ennemies
    - Body Painting : enhances all the painter stats, but gives him poison
    - Living painting : Draws beast who go fight against the ennemy
    - Rainbow painting : Recovers HP/MP and giving Regen & Refresh
    - New page : This allow to start the fight again by healing allies & ennemies.
    - Elemental triptych: this allow to toss 3 magics elementals attacks in a same time
    - Firmam : A celestial magic attack

    The areas skills :
    The areas are bigs circles under the ennemies and allies.
    Only one area at a time
    An area is always AoE
    An area isn’t on allies or ennemies but on the ground.
    This means that:
    - inside an area, ennemis receive malus, and allies bonus.
    - outside of the area the bonus and malus wear off.

    We also need a new status effect for Thaumatruges:
    White distress: this makes a painter unable to paint and to gain TP

    It has not been done yet and it would work well in this game. Have it play like it did in tactics. What ever land type you are standing on gives you a set of spells to cast. And there could be a quest that would allow you to use a few of the other land type at your whim.

    Dancer/Bard

    Bring these two back as they are the staple buffers in the FF universe.

    Definitely agree here. Let ninja be ninja for once.

    * The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
