I am laughing so hard. I was leveling up, inadvertently switched to weaver instead of pugalist when I happened upon a fate. I hit auto-attack for a damage of 2! wooo! I stuck out the entire fate just hitting auto-attack for 2 dmg. Ahahahaha.

Sadly, at the end I recieved the message "You are not a Disciple of War or Magic. Your contribution will be ignored."

And I was so hoping for that gold...

Ignoring the participation of Hand and Land is the absolute dumbest design decision in this game. Just give us our five exp for the light scratches we put in a mob already. I don't care if it's next to nothing, just don't tell a player "you're not good enough." It's the same with the fetch quests, explain to me why I have to be a fighter or a magic user in order to deliver a box?

Hahaha, reminds me of when I was on Botanist doing a leve in Central Shroud, and then 'Giant FlyTrap' Fate appeared in the South. I read the description and was like '...I feel like a Botanist would help fight against scourges of nature.' Basically swung my hatchet at it pretending to be epic the entire time.

Alas, no exp award for my bravery and commitment to defending nature.

The pickaxe isn't half bad. I forget how hard it hits, but I remember being surprised by it when I accidentally attacked a fate mob a while back. It's probably not going to kill most stuff solo, but it still works a lot better than poking them with a sewing needle!

You can start and finish every quest with every class, so long it is not a leve quest or a class/job quest.
Just switch to a battle class for the fight part and switch back to the DoL/DoH class after it.
