YAY BARD NERF!!!
I can then spam my attacks all day long without having to watch enmity meter or flashing orange triangles and worry about taking threat from tank if I'm not careful!
WOOOO!!

Thinking on it, I do like this. If a Bard goes all out in any encounter, we're very likely to steal all the aggro unless Army's Paeon or Mage's Ballad is playing. Even with Quelling Strikes on, I've stolen the aggro from the tank often. Depending on how we're nerfed for DPS, this could become a very good thing. If it's just a damage %, our aggro meter won't build as fast and we'll be home free to go all out more often.
If it's just a mobility nerf, meaning rooted in place for some moves, charge up for others, with a few left over with neither done, probably on the GCD, sorry to say for those of you applauding the nerf for the Bards, we'll still be picked over them just because we can still spam the moves that AREN'T being nerfed by mobility.

The mobility nerf is what i hope does not happen. My favorite part of bard is it's ability to kite and i almost single handedly took down Cutter's Cry Chimera by myself cause we wiped at the end. I would have done it too but i ran the wrong way on a dragon's voice. The best idea would be to make the trait increased action damage only active when standing still. This would lower our dps while on the move but not change our mechanics and the fun of our class.
They could easily make it like the WoW survival hunter's Sniper training back in the day.. make it activate only after standing still for atleast 3 secondsThe mobility nerf is what i hope does not happen. rift marksman had small ground aoe buffs they could place to give themselves increased dmg while standing inside it.
I love the kiting as I have taken down Cutter's Cry Chimera 3 times solo starting from 40% health and lower since party wiped lol.The mobility nerf is what i hope does not happen. Bard nerfs probably won't be extreme. And bad dps still will be bad dps. The crying will continue...
I believe everyone is blowing the statement out of proportion. Yoshi just said the Bard is just "a little" too op because they don't have movement penalties like the other range classes. I'm sure they are not going to nerf the dps. They will probably greatly lower the bards accuracy when they are in movement or just don't allow you to shoot arrows while moving. Very easy fix and it shouldn't affect dps just makes them like the other range classes so you have to stand still to dps.
Actually, in the end, we'll still probably get picked over other DPS classes no matter the nerf. Damage nerf? Our DPS is still constant, and we will take less aggro, making us a safe DPS to help kill things. Mobility Nerf? Odds are at least one move will not be affected by this, leading to us spamming that move. Even IF all our moves get root or charge-up for them, we'll still be out of range for most enemies and most boss moves. Thinking on it, this nerf may end up not effecting our place in parties at all.

It would almost have to be a damage % nerf. 99.9% of the time I'm standing behind the healer outside of any AOE or cone range. I rarely move if at all save for the bosses like stone vigil that pop a circle AOE on top of you. In that case I sidestep just outside of the circle and time lost is negligible at most.
To all the people crying bards are OP because they can shoot while they move.. sure, but who does that? I don't. Mayyyyyybe on bosses like sunken temple with all of those crazy key things popping laser beams like there's no tomorrow. Mobility nerf for that? LOL ok, have fun smn and blm. ^_^

haha! I did all of those all the way up to running FlayBrox for the 100th time. finally I was like ok, this is too much work even for my ADD, I'll just stand by the healer and DPS. (and look at her bum if she's hot)
