The level 50 leatherworker mission is ridiculous!

Make a raptorskin jerkin... that's fine. But then meld a gatherer's grasp III to it?! They're 30,000 a piece on Moogle right now, and there's only four of them for sale.

So the only alternative to that is to grind a load of level 45+ gathering gear and then hope you get one from the convert. C'mon Square, be a bit fairer!

Ahh I see what you there, you thought there might be a bit in the game that didn't have some horrid grind fest attached to it in some way or another.

Ha, that's cute. Complaining when you actually have the ability to buy the pieces. When we leveled the first classes on servers, we did this without being able to just go and 'buy' the pieces. And at that point high-end crafting mats were near impossible to find. Kids these days I tell ya...

Oh yeah, I didn't think about what it would have been like early game. That makes it even ridiculouser! I've also noticed that the goldsmith level 50 quest has the same thing, but I don't think Piety IIIs cost quite as much. Still though, it' not great quest design IMO.

The alchemist quest requires a quicktongue III materia, which is used by both summoners and scholars for their relic weapons. You don't have anything to complain about.

you have 50 leatherworking, you can easily make 30k, you should have made around 500k just getting it to 50. 30k is nothing


this game is ridiculously easy, youre walking up to an npc, watching a cutscene and maybe handing over less than 50k to get a piece of the best equipment available. the only thing ridiculous about it is how easy it is

that's cute. i remember when there were no AF tools to get from a quest line and instead had to grind a few thousand recipes for a luminary.

That's cute, the developers came to my house and literally broke my legs so I could get my AF gear back in MY day.
