From the two video.. it seems like its either everyone manages to dodge it or everyone gets killed. Is this consistent?

The video where people dodge it, one person does not.
And no, this is not consistent. Quite frequently 1/2/3/4 people will blow up while 4/3/2/1 survive.

Never tried the fight before and I haven't paid close attention to every thread out there regarding this mechanic. This seems like a basic suggestion and I'm sure it has been suggested in other threads somewhere and/or has been tried extensively by high-end raiders but I figure getting a definite 'No' would be nice.
I've noticed that in both videos, Twintania does her Aetheric Profusion spell before casting Twister. I don't know if this happens every time or if it just so happens the cooldown for it is up only during the first Twister, so if it doesn't always happen before a Twister, this idea is already garbage. Is it possible that the initial detonation time after the small landmine tornado is set is dependent on the random raid member's missing HP? Target 4 random players, get missing HP for each individual, if their missing HP is below a threshold (say 75% of max), give half a second before able to trigger the landmine, if not then detonate instantly if landmine is touched?
Damn 1000char limit... So letting everyone hover at a bit of missing hp till the Twister cast is done might give you that extra half second to clear the landmine. After Twister though, the healers would have to be ready to top off the tank to survive the Death Sentence that follows, but that shouldn't be too tough.
Just an idea, I doubt it's something this simple. Also would like to point out that in the video of them actually avoiding 3/4 of the Twisters, 2 of the survivors were not fully topped off at the start of the cast/after it was finished. The third survivor (Teloc Arioch) is however topped at the end of the cast and it would appear he was likely full at the start of the cast... what this means is that this theory is likely flawed or inconsistent. Meh, even though I'm skeptical about this being the case, figured I'd throw it out on a 'strategies' thread. Here's my throat.
So basically the lower hp the member targetered the longer they have to run away from the mine? Teloc isn't necesarily an outlier to that example because the mine spawns at his feet, whereas the other two shown (who were lower %Hp) were far away by the time the mine spawned. Still doesn't explain how Teloc lived and other full hp people didn't though. I can't tell in the video, but perhaps Teloc wasn't topped off until after the cast began.Just an idea, I doubt it's something this simple. The AoE is just for phase change.

Two major problems with that train of thought:
1) Scholar pet heals can't be stopped (short of dismissing the pet)
2) the tank can be targeted. Isn't particularly kosher to require him to be not topped off when death sentence can weave between twisters, and sometimes you can't be sure which one is coming next.
Sub problem related to #1). There is zero other damage in the phase unless someone is hit by plummet or a twister to keep people not topped off.
>.> people keep talking about me. <.<
I haven't seen this said but how long is the twister cast channel? Say for example its 6 seconds long..what if you have to wait 4 seconds to start moving? If you move early or late you will get hit by twister? Sorry if someone mentioned this but I didn't see it in the OP and this tactic is common with bosses in hardcore raids.
