Help me find the best Mark Macro

    Hello!

Tank in need of help; I'm looking to get a good Mark macro for when I pull the mobs. if I do /mark attack <t> It goes from 1 to 5 without reseting.. Which really sucks. After 5, the macro does not work anymore.

I also tried putting /mark attack1 <t> with shield lob but, I shield lob monsters who aggros my party members and then the mark1 is lost on the mobs I want killed first.

Anyone has any idea? I would like my macro to be in an attack macro or something. I don't have time to wait 3 secs and mark every mob. 1 sec is crucial for a tank and most DPS don't understand that.

    Thanks!

On my low level PLD tanking the beginning dungeons I only use a /mk attack1 <t> macro. I just mark the one I want killed first then when that one is almost dead I'll mark the next one I want killed. Even in the higher level dungeons, as a DD, I really don't see a need to mark the mobs aside from the one you want dead right now.

    I use a controller also...

    I use:

    /mark attack1 <mo>

...attack2...and up to 5. The <mo> is a mouse over so I don't actually have to switch targets. The only thing about this is if a lot of mobs are close together, you can mismark stuff. Some would argue that you only need to mark 1 or maybe 2 but to each their own really. If you do decide to mark only 1, you can tie it to your shield lob so:

    /party Attack target 1!
    /mark attack1 <t>
    /ac "Shield Lob" <t>

p.s. ...but you use a controller so...this probably won't help you much.

    2 Macros:

    /mark attack1 <t>
    /ac "Shield Lob" <t>

    and....

    /ac "Fast Blade" <t>
    /ac "Shield Lob" <t>

The first you use for initial pull (and any time you are remarking #1), the 2nd you use for your primary combo rotation: if you are in melee range it will fast blade, if not, it will lob without messing with marks.
