Titan HM Tank Gear Requirements?

I tried searching for tank gear requirements on the forums for Titan HM but couldn't find any information easily because most Titan results are about forming groups. I have 4 pieces of DL, a couple of iLvL 48 rings, then AK/WP gear. I don't want to use earrings just because. I have the Darklight Kite Shield from WP. I have the Darklight Macuahuitl from WP but no primal weapon. I currently have 4780 HP out of party and plan to get 5000 or more HP before seriously trying titan.

I am concerned having the DL weapon instead of a Garuda weapon will not be enough. I've wiped in Garuda often because of bad groups and don't want to do Garuda 50 times and still have no weapon. What gear does a Paladin need to tank Titan HM?

I would want full DL(+hoplite or crafted ring), including earrings. Mountain Buster hits hard and the better you soak it the more the healers can heal the rest of the group too.

5.3K unbuffed is a good number to have. Honestly though the more gear the better. The more HP you have and dmg you can mitigate the more healers can focus on the stupid DPS who keep getting hit. DL weapon is extremely risky as well. If your WHM decides to have a little fun with AoE heals have fun fighting him for threat. Any DPS running relic in the group and they will give you a run for your money as well.

Whats the deal with you and earrings? Think someone going to question your manhood or something? Whatever it may be, unless you are overgeared with your other items i suggest you suck it up for a bit and equip that bad boy. No need to make everyone else work harder in a already challenging fight for dps/heals.

I miss out on a few stats, that won't make or break me. Do you actually have advice?

Well, I'd advise you to buy a pair of earrings; there's no excuse not to, and the stats help, even if it's just a little.

5.5k while in a group is what I'd say is a good number to be at, HP-wise. But knowing when to use your cooldowns is far more important. (Hint: As soon as phase 5 starts and 5 seconds after a landslide every time thereafter, have cooldowns up!)

The stats will help. You also dont need the Garuda weapon, try getting the Ifrit one at least. Having a base of 5k HP is a good start but if you know the rotation and when to use cooldowns that will probably help. Also do you plan on running the 2 healer setup or the 3 healer setup?

Darklight Earrings of Fending give you 10 vit, plus Parry. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe its something like 15 HP/Vit at level 50?

You are missing out on 150hp by not wearing earrings. If I had advice to give, I would say wear the earrings.

Other than that, I have 5600hp in group, and I have don't have any problems tanking Titan through the heart (my FC isn't to Titan yet, and I have just done crappy PUGs, no haven't gotten past the heart).

I would say tank should have around 5.3-5.5 any lower than that you ran a risk of getting kill by Mountain Buster Combo. I had 5.6 on my tank and i lose count on how many time MB combo get my lower than 500 HP. and dont forget that healer have to heal you DPS too, so they might not have time to top you off ater Rock buster (Titan almost alway sue rock buster b4 mountian buster.)

3Healer is a bad idea, unless you have really good DPS (a few relic +1) and tank got a decent ewapon (garuda) because with 3 healer you would need to charge up LB (lv 2 or 3 , depend on party) and the fight will last a lot longer (assuming that your dps dont have relic ). The longer the fight in final pahse the more damage stump will do. (the number of time he do stump will keep on increasing as the fight goes on)

Thank you for the replies. I will gear up for 5.3K HP unbuffed and see if my FC will help me farm Garuda since I beat Garuda 1st attempt with them. I don't want to have earrings on a male character but I will use the DL earrings temporarily to get past Titan or any other hard parts in the game.

Also do you plan on running the 2 healer setup or the 3 healer setup?

I don't really know what I will be running. My FC currently only has 1 well geared healer (basically full DL and Garuda weapon) though so I will probably trying doing the 2 healer set up with them.
