I would like to see multiple difficulty levels normal/hard/insane.

IMO All of the level 50 endgame content should have a mode that's puggable with reasonable gear, and understanding of the game, BUT shouldn't require any addons/vent, etc (normal). Then there should be a tougher version that requires a high level of skill, gear, and coordination (hard). I wouldn't mind if there were something that was either impossible, or very nearly impossible (insane) - so all the people complaining about lack of endgame content can rush to some insane dead end and get stuck.

From what I hear, the HM primals are somewhere between what I have explained as normal and hard - and seem to satisfy neither the casual player, nor the OP.

Meanwhile I'm level 30, and hope the current content still has some meaning by the time I get there

Also, I'm not sure when "challange" came to be defined by moving out of puddles (WoW maybe???), but this isn't the type of challange typical of the classic FF games, and it isn't the type of challange I'm hoping for.

I have yet to get to endgame but, I will say, at level 41, i found the game horribly easy, so much..I mean I was chaining level 20 mobs, to complete my level 2 hunting log for marauder...had to wait 5 WHOLE levels to start next tier, they should just open it up as soon as you finish the current one. The party dynamics in this game are similar to most f2p mmo's, if that. basically attack what's marked till it's dead. other than limit breaks, there's nothing you as a group can boost for damage, I really wish they would bring back Skill chains and Magic bursts. would give the dps something to do rather than mash combos, but I Do like the games look it's really pretty. being able to jump is awesome also. but I will reserve my final judgement till I have done endgame, if it's just grinding same things over and over again, I'll probably quit (unless it's like Dynamis, or Sea, or Sky) then I'll be happy. well anyways I'm out take care.

yoshi tailored game towards casuals ---> majority of game will be easy only thing that isnt is twintania even then she isnt that hard just requires minimal mistakes and is more of a mechanics fight rather than the generic super crazy hp ff bosses we usually have nearly there on her just havent spent all that long trying, yes the game could do with some more challenging content however game is still early days and we are getting extreme primals etc.

Personally the ONLY incentive from FFXIV that keeps me coming back every week is the 300/300 myth tomes for Relic armor. Relic armor is pretty cool and I want it. But as far as Coil goes, there's not a single reason that makes me want to do Coil. I have people constantly trying to recruit me to their Coil party, but I'm bored enough having those same people trying to tag me for their 300/300 Myth cap every week. To me, it's obvious SE is just trying to pile subscriptions at this point. They're still hiding behind "It's only been out for a month" fiasco! Which in reality is false, it's been out for years, it's just a fail after lesser fail after lesser fail.

The game really is too easy but then coil, it entirely relies on bards being able to do a simple thing like silence, turns out that's hard. The only way to even vaugely assume skill is if they have coil gear, even then they could have just gotten lucky, I really just want a way to accurately asses someones skill without having to wipe on turn 2 with them a dozen times.

Gear does not equal skill and never has.
