though seriously we will more then likely see some additional side quest, an escalation of the game world going to hell in a hand basket, and the early skill/ability tweaks that were mentioned in the battle blue print.

I kinda expect it to be only groundwork for the 1.18 patch. Nothing noticeable but stuff to reduce the size of 1.18 when it is released.

We might not even get anything, if its part of 1.18 which is not ready then it is most likely because 1.18 is like 1GB or something lol and they want to get half out now that wont affect the game. Thats just my guess anyway but we'll see.

We'll probably find out in the producer's letter we should be getting tomorrow, even though we just got the battle report we still have the letter due with the updated chart and such.

Matsui actually states this in the blueprints:

"To coincide with the addition of dungeons, a number of actions and skills will receive tweaks ahead of time, the details of which will be released at a later date."

So it could be some ability changes and what-not.

It would be nice if most of the battle system adjustments made it into 1.17b and maybe a few NMs, while all the content or at least most hit with 1.18.
