    Myth Cap - Rollover idea

    Can we make myth rollover?

I'm not asking for the cap to be removed, what I'm asking for is a rollover.

    So right now we get

300/2000 (current myth and myth cap) and
    300/300 (current weekly cap)

    Can we get another
    Myth Rollover: 2432

Which basically means that when myth reset, 300 is substracted from my rollover and added to my current myth and I instantly cap for the week.

Currently we earn a lot of myth and it caps out for the week and the rest goes to waste. I would like my extra myth to rollover so that once I have 300+ in rollover I know I can spend the next week doing something else and don't have to grind myth.

If you rolled over 2000+ you wouldn't need to cap myth for 6 weeks....

They could make this simple by adding the display for it after the cap

    300/300 (+342)

Which means you are at 300 of the 300 cap and have 342 to roll over on the next reset. After the next reset you would be 300/300(+42).

This would make it nice for people who take a break for a week or have to work overtime etc. If we skip BCB for a week and don't run dungeons and have 300+ rollover myth we wouldn't miss are cap for the week.

I believe someone had a post about this concept already, anyway I think it would be awesome if such a thing was implemented. It doesn't hurt anybody honestly.

    Instead we should have:

    1) A rested bonus for Tomestones (just like exp rested bonus)
    2) Removal of a hard cap, and instead a progressive tax on all tomes collected and a redistribution of them to players who have less or none -- A progressive % of tomes collected by players over the cross-server tome average are auto-distributed to other players until the average rises (ie. Lets say you have 900 tomes, and the cross server average for lvl 50 players is 300, you would pay a 90% tax on all tomes you gain and those tomes would be randomly distributed to other players via moogle-mail until the average rises).

These would help bridge the 'tome-income-gap' and promote equality by redistributing resources between those who are privileged with lots tomes and those who aren't.

lol socialist tomestone distribution? you can't be serious. perhaps they should open up a tomestone welfare service as well? nobody is "privileged" with a lot of tomes, they freaking earned them. they didn't take the tomes from anyone else and they didnt inherit them. why the hell should they have to suffer because others prefer not to put the effort in? this is ridiculous logic and promotes apathy over dedication.

I like this idea. I hate seeing my Myth's drop to the floor & it would be nice to pre-farm my weekly cap in situation where I am going to be out of town for a week.

This thread is for the discussion of roll over myth. This is not an argument to fight the cap. If SE decides to keep the cap, I am making a simple quality of life feature request to let us have rollover myth. If they decide to drop the cap, then this is irrelevant.

Prefarming is a bad idea. Because then one could easily just spam it and then be done with it.

It's more logical to create a system where the cap rises if you don't go past the limit much like how leve charges work.

Say your first week you have 300 cap, you don't do any runs, so now next week the cap is 600, don't do runs again, cap is 900, which would be the max, so if you miss out 3 weeks, you can catch up that way however if you go past that limit you would not gain more of a treshold since it would only go up to 900.

I didn't say rollover would be capless. It would have a cap of "w/e the max piece of gear is" say 900. So if rollover caps at 900 it's the same concept as what you suggested Airget. Just your way is a roundabout way of suggesting the same thing.

Basically, with my way I would rollover 900 now, and not later.

Your way I would not cap now, but would catch up later.

Either way there will be a 900 myth worth of runs I don't run. For either solution.

And imo, if SE had done this rollover idea weeks ago they would not have had the reserving instance issues with AK. Because people would stop queing for AK when they have enough rollover to cap the next week. So there would be up random windows over 3 weeks where people don't need to run it, thus lowering demand on the dungeon by A LOT.
