Really amazing how many NON FF fans are playing this game

Reading some of this crazy topics and requests, gets me thinking how man of these players are actually loyal final fantasy fans.

I cannot understnad how people ask for the following off a FF game:

OPEN PVP
Permadeath
PVP ONLY SEVERS
and so on and so forth....

THIS IS A FINAL FANTASY!!! Not your average PVP game.

So people need to get those facts straight and understand that things like STORY, and amazing cut scenes will take priority in this game.

Well to be fair the game will die out if they don't cater to some of the requests being made my "non loyal" final fantasy fans.

I personally don't see this game lasting any longer than SWTOR.

I beg to difer. it was the LOYAL FANS that "sortta in a way" saved this game for death.

The name and prestige of the brand also helped to salvage this. but still this is and will be a final fantasy.
I dont think SWTOR had a stronger following than this.

No they didn't. The game died because Loyal fans and other people left the game. It's already been at the death state. Whether you guys stayed or not, the game would of made anew anyways. [This is not a hate thing for Legacy's or whoever, so please don't kill me lol.]
I love Papa John's pizza and I have for years, I am not going to stick around if their pizza is going to suck balls all day.
Now I'm not a huge PvP fan...I only like LoL. but PvP is a must in most MMO's this day and age.
Just to have something different in the air. If they want Open PvP/Perma whatever, fine.
But NOT in all servers. I just don't see this game having a strong PvP.
Just because it's Final Fantasy does not mean anything. It's a MMO up in competition with other MMO's in the world.
I won't even begin to speak how generic and dull this game is to be Final Fantasy, but I've beaten that into the ground for weeks.
The more things they want the better. As long as they give us an option I'm cool with it.

Final Fantasy Tactics had VS battles coded in the game and quite a community based around maxing out characters and playing VS using gameshark. PSP version even had this fully fledged out in game with no need for gameshark. Oh, and permadeath as well.

I personally don't see this game lasting any longer than SWTOR.

FF11 lasted 10+ years (and in some capacity is still going) without ever making a serious PVP mode. In fact, it's the most profitable Final Fantasy of all time. I'd be more than fine for this game to "only" last 10+ years.
